Hi guys I’ve been more of a lurker than anything, there is a lot to go through here.
So I thought I’d introduce myself.
Like many I wish I had found this site sooner but you know what they say “Wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one gets filled first.”
I suppose I’m like a lot of guys when it come to health issues i down played my ED saying it was just stress, being tired, antidepressants. But the the supplements stopped helping you know the blue pill (enzyme) and finally went to my PCP who sent to the VA’s ED clinic (Army Vet, 4 years active, 22 years reserve with 3 deployments) they prescribed the other blue pill (Viagra) which worked ok for the most part for about 8 years when returning from my last deployment went through a divorce after 27 years, not related to ED but more of drifting apart and changes in religious convictions.
After the divorce I figured why take the pill went into deep depression gained a ton of weight. After a while between my psychiatrist and myself pulled myself out of the funk. Went back to the gym began losing weight. (still more to go). Took a chance on with an on line dating service met my soulmate, the pills worked okay, then after several months decided to tie the knot. The pills worked ok but started getting pounding headaches then my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer which she beat but while she was under treatments our sex life dwindled and then when it began to pick up again the pills only gave me a headache. Back to the ED clinic was put on Caverject and sometimes Edex depending on what the VA got.
Thought it was great nice hard on minimal side effects then after a misplaced injection I noticed a curve to my dick and pain when I got hard. Didn’t think anything about it until my wife said something. So back to the ED clinic and told it appears I have Peyronies Disease and asked if I had considered an implant to fix the ED &PD. I tried other things pntoxifyilline,VED, & traction. After a year I had decided Xiaflex wasn’t an option and in September 2019 I as implanted with the AMS CX.
Wife and I love the implant given me confidence again losing weight again
Then came across this site from another guy on a Peyronies web site.
Not sure if I can add anything that hasn’t been covered in this site by others but I’m here off and on to help others
