Hi everyone,
I've tried most of the ED pills going back to my late 40s. Now in my mid-50s, none of these pills gives me an erection However, I read a lot of positive feedback from other members regarding trimix, especially when the erection has a lasting effect I am confused about the variety of mixes and dose etc., and of course I'm concerned about the possible pain and scare tissue from an injection. I haven't seen an urologist yet, but I wanted to ask if anyone can provide some general advice for someone new to this like what is an effective dose and type of mix etc. I will definitely endure the discomforts if I'm pretty sure that the outcome will be a nice hard on! I would greatly appreciate any feedback. I hope everyone has a merry Christmas!

Re: New guy needs trimex advice and support
First of all you do need to see a uro. They no doubt will start with a starter mix like bi mix. When I first went in to uro I said no way in hell was I going to stick a needle in my dick and doc said when I've decided it was time you will and I did, lol.it doesn't hurt at all, might feel a small prick on tunica , but shouldn't feel it much going into corpra. Just watch for veins on tunica and if you don't have too thick a tunica if you move foreskin around you should be able to see the line bump of vein, it will save some aggrevating issues. I've developed a lot of hair line veins over time and it's hard to miss them once in a while, but it's usually on tunica no biggie, it goes away after a couple days, make sure you alternate.hope this helps

Thanks so much for your helpful information! Yep, one of my worries is not so much pain but missing blood vessel's! But, I will cope with all these factors just as long as I have good results most times. I'm in Rochester MI, so not too far from you. Anyways hope your holidays are enjoyable. Take care.

New guy, having just started injecting,6 times so far this last three weeks, once your over the act of sticking a needle in it, it’s not bad at all. I feel some pressure and then it’s over. Any Dr or in my case pharmacist, will start you on a very low dose and different people get different results. I started on a tri-mix regular strength( he has 3strengths available, mine being weakest) I use a 31gauge needle and a 1cc syringe only using .1 dose as a start which turns out about right. Plenty hard, and lasted about 2 hours. After initial dose I tried a little less .08 and wasn’t as hard and lasted 45 min. Next time tried .14 and was rock hard and after 3 hours I took a couple Sudafed and was down by 3 hours and 30 min. So think my magic number will be .1. Everybody is different, and you’ll read about misfires. That’s when you either go too far in and inject in the ureathra, or not deep enough and it bubbles under the skin. So far I’m 6 for 6 on hitting the right spot. I also quit having results w cialis and Viagra... even doubling or tripling dose, just wouldn’t get hard enough and or just wouldn’t stay that way..... the shots have been a game changer so hope you have the same results
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!

Every man is a bit different. You'll have to figure out which needle size as well as dosage works best for you. I use 20cc of the 30-1-10 Trimix with a 30g 1/2" needle at about the 2 o'clock location up and down my penis and get a great erection for about an hour. Remember to massage the injection site for 5 minutes to avoid scarring. Also alternate sides each time. Once you dial in the right dosage and figure out where to best inject you'll be having sex just as good if not better then you did when you were twenty. I hate needles but I never hesitated with my first injection. A naked wife laying in bed begging for it is all the motivation I needed to quit being a little bitch.
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.

Good to see another newbie coming online. I suggest you search the info on this site. Lots of answers to questions you have and don’t know yet. I am new at this. RP in July and only a month ago saw my doc about Trimix injections. What I have been told and done:
1. Look at a clock front on and think that is your 3rd party view of your sick. 12 to 6 is your urethra. Inject on the 3 or 9 clock time positions. I’ve done 6-7 so far and no problem.
2. My doc suggested an injection “gun”. You put the syringe in and make sure injectable depth is right, about 3/8”, push the spring loaded button and it jabs you quick and straight. Great way to go especially if you are a bit loose, tipsy or stoned.
3. There is no pain to the injection. A quick prick and all is done. After 2-3 tries it won’t bother you.
4. My doc really stressed working up the dosages slowly. From this site I realize he is being very conservative w both dosage and application. No worries. Better to take your time and do it right. Docs all advise against the priapism problem from over dosing and gettin a 4+ hour hard on.
5. I have started w low dose and get partial to almost erections but am working my way up. I reckon next 1-2 tries I will have my baseline figured out. I am on 8.9-0.89-24 and next Shot is .40 units. 0.35 got me about normal size Pre RP but not hard. A bit more juice I reckon.
6. Some of the commentary is amazing about what the injections can do but each case is case specific. There is a learning curve to everyone. Take the time to find your baseline.
7. This can be a very emotionally trying time post RP surgery. Both the way you view yourself as a man and life after and also w your wife or partner. Hang in there. I think this is important. Basic question, would you like to have your prostate and cancer? Or not. No brainer for me. When I talked to the oncologist-surgeon after my Gleason 7 result both my wife and I decided quickly to go w RP and adjust. Honestly, there have been days when I have been down compared to how I was. I tell myself would I prefer to have this shit spread to lymph nodes and beyond? Then give myself a mental big wet fish slap up the side of the head. Wake up idiot! Medicine today is amazing. Get the best you can and adapt. Survive.
Getting a hard on for sex is important but don’t let this drive your life.
Merry Christmas everyone.

You mean 20u (units) not 20cc. No one is using 20cc.
100units = 1cc. You use 1/5th of a cc.
20cc is 100x larger than 20u.
It’s easy to mix up units. I only point it out because the OP asked for advice about strengths and doses. If he took 20cc of Trimix (2 10cc vials or 4 5cc vials all at once!?!) it would be a disaster.
New Guy, it’s great to gather as much information as possible, but the first and most important thing you should do to treat your ED is find a good urologist who is adept at treating ED. Not all are. Some are great with kidney stones but don’t do much of anything regarding Men’s sexual health. It sounds like there is another member that lives near you. Find out who he sees. Use the MD search function on this site. Search the different forum categories (injections, implants, and so forth) using your town, area, and state name in the search bar and reach out to those folks. Search for prostate cancer survivor support groups in your area. Many of those men will have had ED as a result of their treatment and may know good docs that can help treat ED.
And check back in with us to let us know how you make out. The things you learn will be useful to the men that come after you.
55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.
