Tri-Mix and Flomax (Tamsulosin)

Postby Steve5231 » Sat Dec 26, 2020 10:30 am

I’ve been using Tri-Mix for about 3 years and have been stepping up the dosage and strength until it really isn’t working well any longer. I have also been taking one Flomax pill a day to assist with being able to urinate. I’m wondering if the Flomax has anything to do with the ED issue. Anyone experience the same problem?
75 years old. Was on Viagra and then Cialis but got fed up with the side effects. Switched to Tri-Mix 3 years ago but had increasingly reduce effect. Finally implanted 1/19/2023. Always looking for advice. Live in Illinois.

I don't really have personal experience with the drug. From what I've read it generally isn't a major cause of ED but it's also not unheard of. From Mayo Clinic:

Mayo Clinic Publication wrote:Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention......

Less common
  • Decreased interest in sexual intercourse
  • decreased sexual drive or performance
  • drowsiness
  • inability to have or keep an erection
  • increased cough
  • loss in sexual ability, desire, drive, or performance
  • nausea
  • pain or tenderness around the eyes and cheekbones
  • sleepiness or unusual drowsiness
  • tooth disorder
  • trouble sleeping
