INHO:

1. A penile traction device is an apparatus whose function is to stretch the penis with the objective of achieving a longer hoohoo. A longer hoohoo does not a harder hoohoo make.

1b. ED is a symptom, not a disease. Therefore, it's a symptom to be dealt with while (hopefully) the underlying medical problem is treated. Sometimes there's not much to be done about the underlying medical problem. For example, my diabetes is not going away. All I can do is try to keep it from getting worse. Likewise, no one has ever grown a new prostate gland and thereby "recovered" from ED.

2. Google "penis extender" and "penile traction device" and you can see the differences.

3. First, see 1b above. Secondly, different men respond differently to different treatments. My recommendaion is always to begin with the least invasive and move toward the most invasive: pills, pumps, shots, implant. AND, that process should be superintended by a physician--probably a urologist, altough a GP or an internist can and will prescribe pills in most cases--AFTER the root cause of the ED has been established and that problem treated.

Best wishes for hard times.

Penis traction devices and extenders are basically the same thing. I have used one to successfully lengthen my hoohoo. As for as my erections were concerned, I would say it decreased the quality due to tissue fatigue and loss of sensitivity. However, they are sometimes prescribed for reversing penile curvature. Although my hoodoo is a little longer, it remains useless unless I inject it or pump it.

For me the best way to "heal" ED was an IPP (Inflatable Penile Prosthesis).
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan on December 13, 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in 2004.
The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.
This was after I had tried other ED Treatmnet Modalities which I found to be unsatisfactory for me.
Hope this is helpful.

bob, no offense, but i wont ever implant a piece of plastic in my penis. i was born healthy and i intend to heal myself in whatever manner of my ED.

but out of curiosity.. did this implant restore your ability to have an orgasm? and are you able to ejaculate?
