Hitting a nerve, vein or artery?

Postby sidb416 » Sat Jan 23, 2021 7:26 pm

Hi folks,

Exploring injections, hoping to get a test shot with my urologist within the next couple of weeks.

My biggest fear is hitting a nerve, vein or artery and causing long term damage etc. What happens if you hit a vein or an artery? With the vein/artery it will end up on the blood supply? Are there risks associated with this?

Thanks in advance,

Sid

Nothing is risk free. On the whole I'd say the injections are pretty darn low risk. You will eventually hit a vein and will get an edema and maybe a bit of blood on the surface but most guys will clot quickly and the hematoma will go away. Inject as directed and you should avoid nerves and arteries of consequence. Quit worrying, you'll be fine.

I agree with Bldoink----There is probably no man out there who does penile injections that has not EVER hit a vein at some time. I have been injecting over two years now and I still hit one every once and awhile. As said, if you see blood just keep pressure on the injection spot for a couple of minutes and the flow will stop. Also, as said, you may end up with a bruise but it WILL go away. Neither of these will effect your ability to get the job done. One thing you can do to help you see the veins before injecting is to either work up a partial erection yourself or have your partner, wife, girlfriend help you get a partial boner. Then you will be able to see the veins and insert the needle in an appropriate location.
You didn't say how old you are but even though this may sound way out there, some older guys with vision issues use high intensity clamp on lights and magnafying glasses to see where the veins are located. We do what we have to do to achieve the end result.
Good luck and don't worry.

Thanks fellas. Bidoink, I am 35, good tip about getting a semi because I don't really notice veins/arteries when I am flaccid, maybe because I am un-circumsized, I don't know.

So if a vein or artery is hit, the meds end up going into the blood stream, no? What are the effects of this? What's the worst that can happen? Wouldn't hitting a nerve for instance possibly cause chronic pain etc?

sidb416----You are welcome. Like you, I am also uncut and when flacid I have a lot of foreskin, probably a 8th inch past the tip of my cock, so a semi boner really helps see where the veins are located. I would say that 99.9% of the time if you hit a vein the needle will go all the way through and you won't be pumping the juice into the vein, even with a 5/16 inch needle. If the juice were to go into the vein there would be no ill effects, you just would not get the boner you were trying produce. As for nerves, I am no medical expert but in two years of injecting I don't recall hitting any "nerves". If you feel the pin prick when you inject you probably have it a "nerve" I have felt the pin prick many times and many times I don't feel the needle go in at all. Again, not to worry, you will do just fine. Relax and just enjoy your new found 16 year old experience. I didn't start injecting until age 72 and what a wonderful experience to have 16 year old erections again, let alone to have them last up to over 3 hours.

I have injected into surface veins along the cavernosum a few times, with no ill effects other than some minor bruising, and everytime I've done that it still produced a usable erection for sex.

This is bound to happen occasionally with this type of treatments, although I dont do it intentionally as I have one prosthetic eye and its very difficult for me to judge preciseness in an area where a certain amount of being precise is necessary,

My depth perception is poor, but I manage to get it in there and raise the willy, and you will as well, stay at 9 and 10 o'clock on the left and 2and o'clock on the right, at least initially with injections, with more experience garnered you could eventually venture to 8 o'clock and 4o clock, you will be fine, relax it dont even hurt at all
