I'm 44 and have been injecting for 9 months or so, after pills stopped working (strong side effects and decreasing erection quality). At first trimix made my dick ache, but that has faded over time.
I use 5-7 units of trimix (20ml PGE, so not a high or strong dosage). I've gotten decent at injecting, but have had a few "misfires" where just nothing happens, or my dicks swells on the side instead of getting hard, and I've had a few strange bruises to hide.
The best way I can describe it is that trimix gives my dick a hangover. After it wears off, my dick feels tired and tender. If I re inject within 24 hours, it's a less reliable and more painful erection than the first one. It's less pleasurable, but it still works. But the more injections I do close to each other, the more tender and hungover my dick feels afterward.
I even get little phantom "stings" of pain throughout my dick during the 24 hours after I use it. It's strange.
I had a slight left curve in my erection before trimix, and i think it might be more pronounced now. What's funny is that it curves the most when it's PARTIALLY erect. It straightens out when fully erect, but when inflating or deflating it seems to be curving more to the left than before. Wonder if this is because I usually inject on the left side because the right side has too many veins...
I'm unmarried, and my GF knows I use medication, but doesn't know it's an injection because she hates needles and I don't want to freak her out.
The main problem is that her sex drive is the highest I've ever seen. We can have sex, and then 20 minutes later if I so much as hold her hand she'll want to fuck again. Trimix seems to work best for someone who has sex for a few hours, then doesn't fuck again for a couple days, not for someone who needs to be able to do it anytime anywhere. I'm just terrified of getting an implant and walking around with foreign artificial plumbing inside my dick, and all the things that could go wrong with it.
For now, trimix has saved my sex life. I love it, but I also hate it. It's inconvenient and you have to schedule your life and dates around it. But it sure beats not having sex.

44 year old, trimix experience after 9 months

44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.

Have you considered the implant at all?
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

I’m 46 and have been using it since September 2020 and I would say 50% of the time I have misfires and it does not work or works very little. I guess it’s my injection technique but I’ve done it so many times I’m not sure how I can improve it to be more like 10% misfire. I have a ton of veins all over my dick so finding enough room to inject where I don’t see any at all is also an issue for me.
I love what it does when it works but 50/50 is not ideal.

I have a similar issue with more veins on one side of my boy, had a few miscues and disappointments early as well. I found one area that I could repeatedly have success with and built from there. Now I’m close to 100% success rate with great results in several areas.

I guess I've been afraid to us the same spot repeatedly since all the literature says to keep alternating sides. I sometimes use it up to three times a week. If there is not a huge danger in using the same spot I would just do that and have a lot more success. The left side being the worst success rate.

zachcrane: Injections are tricky, but see my posts in this topic "Injections" in thread "Painful injection...." 10-12-20, and in thread "Factors which make injections...." 2-24-20. I gradually built up to a 90% success rate.
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.
