Hi Mike....great job...I would only go up by .1 each time until you have the right dosage nailed down. Also, try and be consistent on where you inject, alternating left and right sides.
Happy New Year !!!

You're the one who has to make that decision. Given the two options you mentioned, neither one is wrong.

Curt, By .1 do you mean from 0.2 to 0.3 and up? I know I sound like an idiot but before this I have never even held a needle in my 53 years life. Funny as soon as I started to get an erection I started to get anxious as in "what if" it won't go down? I guess I didn't have to worry about it this time.
Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike- My total syringe volume is .5 cc so I can measure my dosage very accurately .... the most I ever needed was .5 cc and now I am down to about .25 cc.
In the beginning, I started at .25 and them went to .3 then to .35 and so on until I found the right dosage that kept me hard for about 2 hrs which ended up to be .5 cc or ml.
Some guy's are very sensitive to the dosage so I believe that the more accurate you can track and apply your dosage the better chance you have of not having a problem. Consistency of the injection is also important.....proper location makes a big difference.
The most I would increase at one time would be to increase the dosage by .05-.1 cc each time until you find that sweet dosage that works for you.
There are no bad questions about any of this, we are all here to help others with these issues that we are all dealing with.....never feel like you are an idiot....I have been able to share and open up on this board because of the great attitude of its members.....
Happy New Year !!!!
Let us know how your progress is going, we all love to here results moving towards happy sex again !!!!
Cheers,
Curt

I also noticed that when I stood up the erection got harder and then I would lay down it would lose some of it's stiffness.

Everyone feels uneasy about self injection the first few times. You are not alone in that regard. The good news is that it gets so much easier the more you use it. Later you will wonder why you were so hesitant. Keep us posted on your progress.

Re: I'm such a wuss!
Mike congrats on the first injection. The great part is as your results get better the easier it gets. I remember when I told my Uro that the orals meds stopped working and asked what was next and he explained the injections I was your shitting me I can't do that. I used to shake like mad now its like second nature quick and easy! As you get better at it you will learn your own little tricks that make easier for you best of luck!

Re: I'm such a wuss!
Bill thanks,I never though in my life that I would stick a needle in my d!ck.But then after going through a digital examine, biopsy and a cath inserted into my d!ck after the Prostate surgery, how can it get any crazier?

Mikemetal ...
Also just a quick observation on syringes and things:
1) There are no actual '.05 .10 .20 markings on syringes -- just plain numbers 5 10 20 etc. Those are referred to as UNITS (at least for insulin usage). But they do of course represent .05cc .10cc .20cc etc.
On my .30 ml (30 unit!) syringe it has the 5 10 15 20 25 30 markings ... PLUS has the
tic-marks for the 6 7 8 9etc.. PLUS it even has room to subdivide those tic marks into 5 more tics ...
That's a lot of tics!! Not that anyone would need that much accuracy for anything -- just the syringe designer got carried away one day ....
2) This you might like: When you are 'Just Learning' to get the dose right -- no need to delay a whole 48 hours or whatever til the next shot. If you are practicing each day, just keep trying the next 24 hrs later until you get it right -- will get you there twice as quick, yes??!
Then you can settle back to once every other day -- except weekends!! Weekends don't count! Use it both days on weekends!
Here's hoping your ball rises instead of drops tonite ....
