Glans engorgement or not?

Postby Up4Real? » Tue Mar 30, 2021 7:35 am

I have seen the below quote repeated many times as though it is gospel. It has not been mine. Sometimes it appears that misinformation is repeated many times and is thought to be true. I am open to the possibility that maybe it is true for some maybe even most. Just asking.

What has been others experience?
Copied from another post where maybe I shouldn't have replied as it may not be directly in keeping with the thread. Sorry.

"If your glans fills with blood now, it will fill after the implant." Most Guys with prostate surgery are the ones with nerve damage and glans filling problems.

Even though this is often repeated, I'm not sure its true. It hasn't been for me. Before my surgery I was told by more than I surgeon that I shouldn't expect my glans to engorge.

I accepted this worst case scenario primarily because of the statistics showing a high satisfaction rate by men who have had implants.

My glans does not engorge but I have not regrets about getting my implant.

What say others?

I do have some glan engorgement when stimulated. But not as much as in my healthy pre ED days. I also have a flatter shape as I have very little or no engorgement of the corpus spongiosum. This my improve for you over time.

I asked my surgeon this the other week. He said if you have glans engorgement prior to the implant, then there is no biological reason you wouldnt after. But he said it in a way that insinuated some guys might lose that.

I was reading through a twitter thread once, where many surgeons were talking about this subject. It seemed that if you aggressively implant for size (pushing cylinders into glans), then you are more likely to lose gans engorgement than if you just size moderately.

I think he means as in it occurs as part of the disease.

Unfortunately you can lose glans engorgement, as far as i've understood reading online. It would be nice if you would be sure to preserve the engorgement you had before the implant: unfortunately, that's not true for everyone, just for some. Wish you the best.

My understanding is that what you have before, you will have after. You won't lost it unless they make a balls up. If you don't have it before, you won't have it after. Been done to death this one.

Pre-implant = Theoretical; Post-implant = Reality
Personally, I had glans engorgement before implantation and was told by my surgeon the same thing that's been told to most other Bionic Brothers, which is...If you got engorgement of your glans before surgery, you will afterward too. Not so for me. But then, my surgeon was a bit aggressive with sizing and the tips reach 2/3rds of the way into my glans. So maybe there is some correlation as was mentioned by another FT member above. Anybody else care to weigh in on this?
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.

I think one should hope for the best but expect the worse. I almost 'expect' to lose glans inflation.
A few workarounds i could think about:
- Try taking Cialis
- Try Muse pellet
- Use a Vacuum Cup on the glans to inflate it temporarily
- Use a VED + cock ring

Then there's injectable into the glans:
- Hylauronic Acid (https://www.urologicalcare.com/contents ... glans-size)
- Durasphere? (https://www.vjpu-issm.info/videos/peer- ... me-implant)

I wonder if anyone has tried the injectables.
