One of the biggest variables I find in the pumping, is the pumping. If I pump from fully refilled to fully flat, it takes about half the number of pumps to achieve the same results as pumping faster where the bulb doesn't fully refill and/or it doesn't get fully pressed. Given, the volume of the pump, one could easily be at max with only 5 full efficiency pumps. I believe that most of us don't pumpt to full effieciency and require more. Any way that allows you to reach the goal is correct.
