Fourtytwo00: When you say that you lost your ability to enjoy life, that's exactly what happens when testosterone gets too low. It does a lot more than keep libido going! Get it measured immediately by a GP, urologist, or endocrinologist, who will investigate further, and give you synthetic testosterone, and re-measure to make sure you're in the right range (too much can cause prostate cancer). Don't try self-medication with the phony "testosterone" on the market.

Then go after penis problems with a urologist.
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

Its with a little fear and trepidation that I post this. I'm not trying to "start anything" with it.

We are all different and react to various actions and conditions differently. For example, some here have talked about using VEDs and pumps to enhance size after IPP surgery. Some have implied they did it just a short time after the surgery, others later. I'm almost 3 months post op and trying to use my pump caused extreme pain. I stopped. Some recovered from surgery in a few days, some have taken months and months. My scrotum is still screaming at me (although not as loudly as it did at first).

With that in mind, at the end of the 1990s, I was experiencing a lot of stress at work and the start of very mild ED. I started looking for a solution and came across an article on penis enhancement and jelqing. None of the other techniques appealed to me--hanging weights from my penis--gag, stretching contraptions tied to my socks--no. For two years, I practiced jelqing seriously, just using manual techniques (no jelqing contraptions) and just the standard jelqing (no "advanced" techniques). I jelqed two times a day for 100 to 200 jelqs with lots of heat. I used "rice socks" in the morning. At night, I used the heat from the shower. I did it 3-4 days on, 2 days off. It didn't take a lot of time.

Towards the end of that period, my wife went home (she's Taiwanese) for three months to help in an extended family situation. I continued with a bit more vigor and more time. During the time jelqing, I resolved my ED (which my wife appreciated before she left) and noticed I was gaining length and girth. Overall, I went from around 6.5" x 5.25" to almost 8" x just slightly over 6". When she came home, she noticed the change. She eventually asked me to stop because it was becoming uncomfortable. I did.

I always paid attention to any pain with my penis. IMO, I didn't overdo any activity. I was careful at every point. I tried it first on my second fight with ED 10 or so years later. It didn't work the second time.

My experience with jelqing was very different.

Hi, tomorrow I'm gonna have a doppler ultrasound for a better understanding.

@Simbarn:
I'm looking for a pelvic floor specialist. I found people mostly skilled on peeing and chronic pain issues. It's not so easy to find a specialist experienced in sexual dysfunctions here. I'll keep searching for it. In general they ask me what kind of pain I have. But I don't feel pain right now.

@Martin6469:
Yes I started a treatment (gonadotropin injections) and now it's quite high. It helped me. I partially recovered my morning woods. But lack of sensitivity worsened perhaps after last ahock wave session and now I'm feeling down. Now also masturbation is difficult.

Please don't share here your jelqing success stories. I'm looking for advice about lack of sensitivity and I'd like to know how this could affect the outcome of an implant.

(Contribution from people who get an implant after jelqing - expecially if Dr. Eid was the surgeon - are also appreciated.)

With all due respect, I do not recommend the practice to anyone. All I can say in your case is you were lucky.
When you understand the anatomy of the penis, it structure and function, composition of the trabeculae in the corpus cavernosum, the cells that line endothelium, smooth muscle cells that contract and expand in these delicate structures, the composition of the cells that make up the tunica, it becomes obvious that this stretching exercise is doing only one thing to the penis: altering its capacity to work as it was initially made. The tunica albuginea is a critical component in erectile function; it enables venous occlusion to occur by creating an effective seal when the corpus cavernosum expands to a particular size. Stretching an altering this piece of tissue past its biological makeup is just asking for trouble and risking its ability to effectively perform the task of venous occlusion.

Stretching and enlarging the trabeculae and sinusoidal spaces in the CC is also risking the very thing that can cause ED later in life and that is collagen deposition in place of smooth muscle cells. Excess collagen may form in these tissues which over time makes the penis less compliant and therefore not able to expand fully. This is known as fibrosis and fibrosis occurs from injury to the penis as well as from oxidative stress. Continual abuse of the penis with this dangerous practice does cause injury even though this may be at the histological level and injury sets of processes that can cause a chain reaction of events causing morphological change in the erectile tissues.

This is why all urologists vehemently disapprove of the practice!

Using a penis pump correctly to help the penis restore blood flow and lost volume that it was originally designed for is another matter and can help oxygenate the above tissues. However, using them on a perfectly healthy young penis to increase size is also akin to the above.
Age 57, ED issues for 15-20 years. Testosterone replacement with Enanthate and Ovidrel. Currently using generic Tadalafil 2.5mgs and Resveratrol daily.

I assume you are in the US, I am in AU, so cannot help with recommendations with a pelvic floor specialist. I think the moderator on this forum may have more information on this?
But in any case, someone with experience with male pelvic pain should be able to help as this is just one aspect of the condition as I understand it. Changes in sensation and blood flow to the area is another.

I see you have started gonadotopin injections, is the Pregnyl? Why have they started you on this form of HRT?
What was your T level, I don't think you have mentioned that?
I will be interested to see what the doppler tests show.

The dorsal nerve which runs through the top of the penis, is just an extension of the pudendal nerve. If this nerve has been injured due to jelqing, I cannot see how shockwave therapy would be beneficial. The treatment is not even FDA approved as yet. I have not read of one account on this forum of anyone having lasting beneficial effects from shockwave therapy.

It may also be prudent to take a break from masturbation. Let your penis heal itself. It is also possible that your mental state is being worsened by your perception of your erectile and sexual function. It is quite possible that depression in itself can lower bioavailable T levels, so you need to be careful here as I note you said your T levels dropped sometime after the apparent jelqing injury?
I do not recommend a life on TRT for any young man if it is avoidable.

Thanks Simbarm.

I'm not in the US. I'm writing from Italy.

About TRT: I don't have the right number now but my testo and LH were so low that fhe first thing I had to do was a MRI to check hypophysis. My head is ok so the urologist basically gave me two options: trying gonadotropin or testosterone injection. He didn't gave me many information and I went for gonadotropin just to avoid some side effect of testosterone injection. Gonasi 2000 UI two times a week. It's like Pregnyl. Last Saturday I checked it. It's 8.51 ng/ml which is sky high and LH is 0.07 so my urologist told me to do just 1 injection a week (2000 UI).

About Shockwave (Li-Eswt): the purpose of the treatment was to strengthen erections. Now I figured out a different answer: money. My urologist when I say that even 10mg tadalafil makes me nothing tends to say "it's in your mind", "it's almost impossible to self damage without a major trauma" and so on. Here shockwaves treatments are cheaper compared with the US and could be refunded by insurances. Academic literature on the subject usually do not report significant adverse effects. It's not invasive and in case of mild ED *can* be beneficial. So it's a cheap shot. With hindsight it's inconsistent with his diagnosis (hormonal and psychological issues). And usually academic studies are performed with people fulfilling some sort of criteria which usually need several tests. Btw I'm gonna have doppler ultrasound with a different doctor.

As I mentioned before I had two long and a little bit painful nocturnal erections. The first one a couple of days after a Shockwave session, the second one after my last Shockwave session 15 days later.
They lasted 2 and almost 3h. I maneged to resolve them peeing, running stairs, etc. After the second one my sensitivity dropped further. I can barely masturbate one time a week. I still have some sort of morning wood with few feelings. My mood is down and I was put on low dose quetiapine and trazodone (50/75mg and 37.5/12.5mg) for sleeping otherwise I can't rest.

My goal is to get a better diagnosis and recover a little bit of sensitivity. I don't think I will ever recover from this but I would like to be in a position where going for an implant could be an option.

It would be cool if this site had a sub forum for victims of jelqing to congregate and discuss the unique issues we experience, and especially for non implanted jelq victims to discuss with implanted jelq victims who can provide insight and help to foster reasonable expectations.
31. Jelq-HF in 2017. Has continued to get worse. 5mg daily cialis, 10mg on demand. Considering other options.

Hey, did you do the doppler exam? How was going it?
-1993
-Erection problems since 4 years
-I did jelqs and it is posible I injuried, but I hace to say that ED episodes began before I did jelq.
-Having sex with 30mg of tadalafilo

Doppler ultrasound: done.

Urologist said (in short):
No fibrosis or scars. Peak systolik velocity 45 cm/sec (both left and right). Resistence Index 0.8.
If you have a venous leak likely it's psychological (stress / adrenaline surge / whatever..).
In his opinion few stretching / jelqing exercises cannot damage nerves.

"It's all in your mind, 200€ thanks and have a nice day"

I'm happy about the absence of fibrosis or scars. Not fully convinced about the "psychological venous leak". At the end of the day the reasoning is always the same: I'm 42, I look healthy so the explanation should be psychological. When you ask about the success rate of psychotherapy doctors start to be more vague. Next time I'll say: why don't you gimme a Xanax if it's everything in my mind?

Anyone had similar experiences?

Did the dr perform the ultrasound while you were sitting or standing.

If you ever get more imagine done, please consider having the pelvic blood vessels evaluated for reflux.
I also recommend getting a penile MRI and/or cavernosogram to evaluate for gross anatomical change associated with your symptoms. Dopplers tend not to find anything in jelq injuries….don’t know why…sigh.

I do hope you get that thumbs up from a jelq injury implant patient
