Radiation Treatment for PC finally caught up with me

Postby Phredd13 » Sun Jun 20, 2021 6:32 pm

I had PC diagnosis and 45 day radiation treatment in 2013. PSA dropped and I'm considered cured. No sexual effects until 2 years ago when I could not stay hard anymore. After debating with myself for a year, decided to get the AMS 700 CX implant. Job was done by Dr Mora in Palm Desert using subcoronal incision. Now almost 5 weeks in the rear view mirror, the swelling has mostly subsided, but the pump is hard as a rock. Dr activated it briefly at 2 weeks - lots of pain. Now waiting for the 6 week exam to fully activate. I'm always kinda half there... never flaccid, and my libido is coming back, too. Really looking forward to no more swelling!

What you are experiencing is absolutely normal! I have the same implant and had the same concerns! The surgeon knows the device and is not hesistant to pump and even hurt you. We have dificulty inflicting pain upon ourselves. With slow pumping and patience you will have the results you deserve. The bulb will become pliable. As you accustome yourself to where it is, it will warm by body temperature and you will find increasing ease in pumping. I had the Proton Beam treatment at Loma Linda and waited 8 years to decide on an implant. I would be bragging if i told you how much use the old cock has gotten in the almost 2 years i have had it! Please, do not hesistate to PM me if you wish. Only the best to you!

Yep... I figured it was pretty normal. It's one thing reading about it, and another experiencing it. Your comments are greatly appreciated!

Welcome.

Lots of experience among all the guys here. And you’ll have yours to share with guys that come after you looking for advice.
55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

yep - this is right group of guys! FYI - I tried everything... viagra and cialis pills, trimix injection, vacuum pumps, trimix insertion through urethra, Gainswave therapy. Kinda bummed out with all the effort and minimal results. I think I really knew in the back of my mind that I was headed for the Bionic Brotherhood. I'm not looking forward to the 6 week activation exercise - sounds like he might "activate" me right through the roof! Gotta get through this and put it in the rear view mirror, as well.

What i was tickled about is how PROUD my surgeon was with his handiwork! When he pumped it up he said, to his PA, NICE WORK! My wife smiled, raised her eyebrows and said, OH MY! I find that for the best sex do not inflate completely, if you do, it is too rigid and a bit unusual. Let out some fluid and go for it. Particulaly better for oral sex and frenelum massage/masturbation. You may also find cumming takes longer, so, be patient, have your wife help to get you to climax. As always, hang in there, so to speak!

Pleased to report that "activation day" went as planned, with no pain or unexpected consequences. The Dr broke the air lock by manipulating the bulb and deflation button. Now I'm off to the races... my job is to inflate and deflate regularly, and have sex when I want. The swelling is greatly decreased, and I expect it will disappear completely in the next few weeks. I'm very pleased with Dr Mora, and would recommend him to any potential Bionic Brother who is thinking about this in the Palm Springs-Palm Desert CA area.

I appreciate the support! I'm not getting much hardness out of all the pumping - the bulb is still almost as hard as a rock. I will pump up to 20-25, and maybe I get 50%, then I deflate, and repeat... inflate, deflate, repeat. How long does it take to break this thing in?
