Desperate Need of Uro Specializing in ED in NYC

i'm in desperate need of a uro who specializes in erectile dysfunction. he must be in nyc. and if possible i expect him to perform the following tests:

- Penile biothesiometry
- Dynamic infusion cavernosometry
- Cavernosography
- Arteriography
- Vasoactive injection
- Doppler

can you guys please recommend a specialist in this field in nyc?

Numerous guys on the FT implant discussion group have used Dr. Eid for penile implant surgery for ED. He performs a large number of those surgeries and guys have travelled far to have him do the surgery. I live on the west coast so I have not seen Dr. Eid and have no personal experience with him, but I would assume he would do what you are asking for. dr. eid DOES NOT do any of the aforementioned tests. i called his ofice and found that out. also, i dont think hes a good doc from what i've read about him.

hi paul.. i looked up dr. werner whom i will call monday. but i dont know if he performs all of the tests that i mentioned. i think hes more of a hormonal uro, who tests more for testosterone than anything else, if i'm not mistaken. i could be wrong but thats the impression i got from his website. speaking of his website, its not professional-looking at all, which makes me question how professional of a uro he is.

Hi- I just wanted to give my 2 cents. I think you're going to one of the lead guys in the country. I went to Andrew Kramer, a high volume guy at the University of Maryland. These guys plus a guy in Miami are the biggest guys doing penile implants in 2013. I can tell you none of them do those penile tests. Dr. Kramer told me it does not change management, he trained w/ a guy who did all those tests but it doesn't change the outcome. Just something to think about- Tom

hi gerry. im sure hes a good doc in his specialty of implants. i was referring to his limited area of male sexual dysfunction when it comes to ED. he only uses blood and doppler tests which is unfortunately typical in today's uro offices. in other words, i believe that a uro whos really interested in helping treat ED to find the root cause of it should provide all the needed protocals, not just 1 or 2 non-in-depth tests.

i think these guys youre referring to that do implants are more interested in doing implants than finding the underlying cause of ED. hence, your statment that those tests "doesn't change the outcome."

people have different root causes of ED. if one test doesnt detect the cause, another test will. for example, my friend had a phy injury to his groin from a bike accident. the 1st uro he went to just prescribed him pills. it was a temp fix. displeased, he saw another uro who ran an MRI. he found the issue, had a little surgery and is doing better now. had he stuck with the 1st uro his condition might have worsened. so these tests are valuable.

Call Dr. Mullhall at Mt Sinai Medical Center for Male Sexuality where they do a lot for Men't sexual problems. Don't forget that the doctors are interested in fixing the problem as you say, and are not going to lead you to do rings, VEDS or the like. Dr. Eid and other great implanters have seen thousands of patients with all kinds of ED problems so they would be best source of information. Good luck in your search but have you tried Quest diagnostics?
