What new ED medication is in the pipeline?
Re: What new ED medication is in the pipeline?
I had posted about Botox a few weeks ago. It does seem promising. I wish I knew of somewhere already trying these treatments as I would give it a try.

I have mentioned hyperbaric oxygen for ED and the technology is already widely available (hyperbaric chambers):

It does sound interesting indeed. What would need to be very carefully tested is dosage. As once the neurotoxin is administered it cannot be reduced. We are playing with the ability of smooth muscle being able to contract, therefore there could be issues with priapism in some individuals, especially men with mild erectile dysfunction or predominately psychogenic erectile dysfunction.
For example, sometimes when Botox is used in the face, when a little too much is administered, one side of the face can drop and only time can rectify this as the neurotoxin is broken down.
Many trials would be needed to gauge how this would work in men of different ages and types of ED. These types of trials cost money and then who would pay for this? Botox is no longer under patent.
Thus we arrive at the biggest hurdle, money!
Age 57, ED issues for 15-20 years. Testosterone replacement with Enanthate and Ovidrel. Currently using generic Tadalafil 2.5mgs and Resveratrol daily.

Interesting study on topical treatment of ED:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8646143/
The study mentions three different vasodilators: aminophylline, isosorbide dinitrate, and co-dergocrine mesylate.
This was done in the 1990s and MED3005 didn't exist back then but the conclusion is promising:
Topical treatment with a cream containing three different vasodilators might be considered before intracavernous injection of vasoactive agents, particularly in psychogenic impotence.

Re: What new ED medication is in the pipeline?
Not sure if Covid has slowed down research or what but new advances in addressing ED have been MIA. I haven't seen any news on the magnetic induction penile implant in a long time. Last paper I saw on it claimed it was successfully tested in a cadaver. There are actually pictures of this online.
Near as I can tell Coloplast and Boston Scientific's current implant models have been out for about ten years now. Not sure what their upgrade cycles are but I figured by now they would have addressed known issues and made improvements. There is also a spider venom that induces erections in men and some company was working on a synthetic version. Don't know if there have been any advances with this or not.

Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.

Re: What new ED medication is in the pipeline?
Hi all,
I have been using ED meds since I was mid-40s, first they work wonderful, they were so predictable and reliable I felt like I could go get a job in a porno movie: "erection on demand". But since then it has been 22 years+ and none of them work now. Cialis, Viagra, Levitra, they all worked before but no more. Recently I bought some Avandafil from a UK pharmacy for $$$ but unfortunately it is no better.
I also went to an urologist and get the trimix injection. But it really did not work as much as the pain that I had to endure, and poking myself in the penis was a boner-buster, pardon the pun.
My testosterone is normal so I am still very much interested in sex. Any more options I should explore?
I am reading about Udenafil (Korea? Russia?) here and I want to give that a try. Would someone please guide me how to get some to try? Please PM me if you would. (I am in the US)
Thank you so much brothers!
