LeRoastBeef's journal
Re: LeRoastBeef's journal
I would rather take Sildenafil than using a ring. Yes, I love to have the engorgement, but won't take the risk of going to a revision. It is a good decision to see your surgeon before you use the ring. Every implanted man has a different tubing pattern.

I know what you mean, you're quite right, I will certainly talk to him first. I assume it will be a no.
I would be willing to undergo a revision to have the tubing lower, if it is possible. It would be worth it.
I have a bad leak, so viagra just doesn't give me decent engorgement.

Is your implant Infrapubic or Penoscrotal? I am Infrapubic, and can touch the tubes on the left at the base of my penis, but they are not visible.

The installation is penoscrotal. The tube is quite far up, it's visible. The appearance doens't bother, it's the functional implications.
Did you have any issues with the tube interfearing?
I understand you don't use rings.
I think the tube I can feel is the one that connects the pump to the reservior. I'm pretty certain of that.

Re: LeRoastBeef's journal
No. I do not have issues with the tubes.
I was thinking that the tubes could be projecting only in Infrapubic concept.
It seems the pump placement and tubing are the most challenging for the surgeon. Surgeons may not be able to predict whether the pump will be located too low or too high. Most surgeons put it too high and request the patient to pull the gently down. If it is located too high, that means more tube length will be between the pump and cylinders.

Re: LeRoastBeef's journal
I see.
I think it perhaps is the case that the pump and thus tubing is too high. I was told not to touch anything, so I did not.
The tubing actually moves up the shaft slightly if I take the weight off the pump, so I'm sure
Pulling it down would move it down.
I don't know if things have been held in place or left like that for a reason though, so I'm reluctant to pull anything until I see the surgeon.
Maybe it's stitched in place. Maybe I should have been pulling down from the start.....

Hey Roast beef, good to know the NHS has sorted you a shiny new implant congratulations.
Sounds like you were really lucky to get a good surgeon and an LGX!
I'll defo be following your journal.
My journey has been delayed as they want to stick me with some different injections before they commit but tbf I can't see them doing the trick so just another annoying delay. I'll get there, that I'm sure of.
Wishing you a speedy recovery mate. Your measurements are the same as mine so I'll be keeping my eye out for some pics when your ready.

42 UK, Peyronie's plaques. No bending, just substandard functionality and some miss-shaping. Jumped through all the NHS hoops (various pills, VED, injections) finally getting implanted 04/10/22

I was told by my doctor to pull down gently during the first 4 weeks after surgery, when there was still the possibility of moving things. Iwasn't doing it as advised, and It didn't actually make a difference. I can access my pump easily, but would love if it was little down.
I do not think after one month you can still pull the pump.
As long as I am having the erection that we lost for years, I am very happy with the implant.

Re: LeRoastBeef's journal
I know, I doubt after 3 weeks that anything is moveable.
I'll just have to wait and see regarding the tubing, there's no point in pondering over something I have no control over. Fingers crossed that it resolves.
Griffin, it's just the NHS, it's wonderful and frustrating at the same time. It helps if the surgeon is on your side, they carry a lot of weight and can push things through, they are not omnipotent however. I feel your pain, I waited years to get to this stage!
You just have to keep going, there's no other way. You'll get there!
Also, I am now a shower, I didn't appreciate that before, but as things heal and feel/look better it's actually pretty awesome.
Does that make me vain? Yes.
It's also just self esteem, I forgot what that felt like. Not that I want to be a whinny girl about it all, but to actually feel comfortable with yourself is something which I haven't felt in years.

Re: LeRoastBeef's journal
Week 10
All healed, back to 6.5 inches with glans engorgement.
5.25 inch girth.
Pump has softened up a lot. Now easy to use.
Flaccid is much softer, more pliable and natural.
There is saline remaining in the reservoir when fully erect, as the bulb goes rock hard, so hopefully more growing to come still.
My only issue is glans engorgement, I can only achieve it with a ring, problem is the tubing at the base prevents me placing a ring there.
Which means I have to place the ring about 1 inch up the shaft, which looks wierd.
I can't use conventional rings because they are too tight now, and too protruding (Thick).
Going to try elastic bands of various sizes. Not sure how they would fair with vaginal compatability, so to speak.
I'm almost there. Can't wait to use the thing.
