Taken Daily 5mg Cialis and broken eye vessel

Hello.
I am on my daily 5 mg Cialis by my Urologist as of 2 weeks ago. Anybody had broken blood vessel in the eye while on daily Cialis? I had this happen before 2 times and went to the eye doctor which i was told it was due to strain. it is on the white part side to the eye with no issue with vision or pain. I have stoped since then taking it and a good luck finding an Opthomologist on Saturday.

hmmm.....good luck, keep us posted at to what the ophthalmologist says...personally I haven't had any issues with any pde5's.....good luck to you!

Sometimes a little bit red eyes. No more than 1 day.

Thank you so much for sharing this info, it is extremely important.

I used Cialis for many years with excellent results and it was until recently my #1 ED drug but this side effect always freaked me out. Ocular pain is a common side effect of these drugs but I've never had any broken eye vessels.

I am now taking udenafil, which is more selective and safer.

Sorry about my knowledge with Udenafil. Can the urologist prescribe Udenafil in the US? does it has a Generic? How to you get it?

just an update. I just had the issue with the same eye using the daily 25 Viagra. Both, the daily 5 mg Cialis and 25 mg of Vigara had the same bleeding effect to the same eye. I think it is me. just wanted to share. The ophthalmologist seemed not concerned and that's the scary part. Still trying to get answers. second Doc opinion in couple of month....

I am legally blind in one eye, I had an Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy, in layman's terms I had a stroke in the eye. I was sent to a renowned Optic Neurologist at Scripts in San Diego by my ophthalmologist. The first question the neurologist asked me was have you been on Cialis or Viagra, which I had been. He said never take Cialis or Viagra again. He told me we can't say for sure this is what caused your problem, but there is an association. I have since change ophthalmologists and he also told me not to take those drugs. He says it could easily happen to the other eye then I would be legally blind. If these drugs are affecting your eyes I sure would do some research and consult with some specialists if you want to continue taking these drugs. I am now on injections, there is no association with eye problems with injections.

Thanks for sharing this. For how long did you take these drugs before the stroke and was it Cialis or Viagra?

I took both Cialis and Viagra for at least 15 years + before i started having this issue. The first time happened after a very hardcore workout. As a matter fact I just had one episoide about a week ago with the same eye. this time it took almost 9 to have this episode and the Opthomoligist (head of dept in Houston Medical /teaching Center ) seemed not concerned. I have follow up in couple of month again. I will keep you all posted.
