Is this normal?
Is this normal?
I have a question I wanted to ask. All through my life (even before I had ED), I found it much more difficult to achieve an erection when I was standing up, as opposed to sitting down or laying down. Now, it is still that way, even worse. I'm wondering if this it typical. It's hard to explain - it's like the muscles that keep me standing have always impaired my ability to get erect. If I do start getting erect, I start losing my balance!

Hi David, does this mean that have never had it doggy style? kneeling or standing? mind you always did like wome on top.
But yes its strang, cant think why, bet there someone with a good answer, but could be something to do with disorientating, seeing how it makes you fall over, if your getting one.
Perhaps your thinking about it to much, as they say never think about it get on and just do it.
Good Luck

Interesting question.
I'm not sure but I guess it's normal and nothing to worry about.
Everyone has a favorite position. A few years ago, my favorite position was the woman on top - simply because my partner was the one who had 'all the work', that made me less anxious and I didn't lose my erection before penetration.

so I'm taking 5mgs of Cialis a day, since the last 3 months of having more ed than not........as I'm watching TV I can feel the blood warming my penis...slight increase in size...it's like it woke up...so I start massaging myself to a nice hard-on....but it seems when I'm with my lady, there is a mental detachment....she might as well be tugging on my elbow than my dick...like nothing......till it hurts and we give up...as the kids say...WTF??...Is this normal??...my probelm is from coronary artery disease had great success for 8 years with Viagra..although the last 2-3 years the dose has been at the maximum..100mgs....sometimes I just think we think about this crap too much and for to long..chime in with your thoughts..

Actually, I was the opposite. I had a venous leak. I was able to maintain standing better than laying down. Now I have an implant, it makes no difference!

qcswral,
As your condition progresses (coronary artery disease) the ED pills will be less effective, I imagine you are taking medications for that ... and those also affect your condition. You may want to discuss with your URO about starting Injections ... along with VED to maintain your penis health ...
