Keep in mind that many many infectious agents are MUCH more transmissable than HIV. Condoms do little to protect against Herpes genital warts. Hepatitis is very very easy to transmit. Prep will not protect you against Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Herpes, Hepatitis and many other diseases but it does give a decent protection profile against HIV. Be safe, have fun, have a great time. this is one of my biggest fears as i have sex with a lot of different girls with injections. the injection site is at the base and so when one is having sex it is very easy for the condom to roll up a bit.

honestly it’s another reason why an implant seems even more desirable.

this is a serious conversation, I check in on FT everyday, I see a lot of post of same sex sex that no one want to call "gay". but it is. Please practice safe sex and call it what ever you want.

If the condoms turn you off, use a ribbed condom turned inside out with a touch of lube near the tip. This is how I modified my use and got plenty of enjoyment. Cheers. d

herpes is also super common. i recently got diagnosed with herpes 1. doctor said not to worry or think about it. i didn’t get any sores or outbreaks. herpes 2 is the real bad herpes so now i’m even more scared.

What's it with people getting worried about HSV1? I never got tested but I am pretty sure got that as a child, about 11 years old, it's nothing.

Yeah, I think most people have HSV1...think mouth sores when you accidentally bite your cheek.
Yes, you do create an opening for HIV, so best to use condom...and no oral!
Gay or Straight (have no idea where babies fall into this, but they have HIV too), but HIV does not discriminate.

yeah this is a serious subject. i agree that it doesn't matter if you're gay or not. statistically gay men are the most affected with HIV. so generally you're at high risk if:

- you're gay
- share needles
- are straight and have unprotected sex
- are straight and have sex with girls that are with bisexual men (tons of these on tinder)

i'm personally straight and have protected sex. but i believe that all of us who inject are at high risk because of the injection.

so, thanks to this thread i went and asked my doctor about PreP. he agreed that i'm at high risk and prescribed me truvada. going to start taking it.
