Chest pain side effect from viagra, cialis, levitra

Hi guys

I had terrible side effects from cialis and viagra: heart attack-like symptoms (chest pain + pain on the left side of neck and jaw + pain and numbness in my left arm). At the hospital, doctor did not find any signs of heart attack or myocardial infrarction (luckily). Doctor could not tell why I had those side effects, although he acknowledged that they are listed on the patient information leaflet of both drugs (and also on the levitra’s one). My problem now is that I still have chest pain after three weeks (I was even thinking that I have developped gastroesophageal reflux disease, or chronic acid reflux, because I have been using anti pde5 drugs for 1 year and this could be the cause of my chest pain, but I do not feel any acid or heart-burn symptoms). Did anyone had a similar experience and can share some suggestions?

I get mild chest pains a couple times a day, but not sure if it’s from the meds. I’m on 20mg of Tadalafil as needed. Seem to only have the pains in the effectiveness window.

Yes I had tightness in the chest when I used Viagra. Worse was the migraine the next morning.
Been over 5 years since last dose of Viagra, no issues since.

Hi guys, thank you for the replies. Old boy: chest tightness is exactly what I am feeling. Did you receive any explanations from doctors for this side effect? It it related to the heart? I am afraid the pills could cause damages to the heart.

No heart condition.. I do several sports, never had issues with my heart. I have experienced Chest pain/tightness only after taking pills. And this side effect is written on the patient leaflet.

Viagra is a failed heart medication, the guys in the study were getting hard ons so that’s where viagra and those meds came from, I never liked them because when I used them all they did was make my blood pressure sky rocket and give me chest pains, I don’t trust it.

Hello worried, I was browsing and saw you post. Thought I might add a word or two. I have had quite a time with the PDE5 treatments. My first sildenafil was in 2005.They worked pretty good but always had problems with side affects. Had stomach acid from the very first dose. Tried them all to see if one caused less side affects and still work.levita had the least acid, at least for me. I took tums and rolaids like candy not knowing that the calcium could cause kidney and prostate stones. Long story short upgraded to famotadine which worsened ed and caused constipation finally after developing gerd and having severe warnings and radio wave treatments, I had a serious talk with the urol. and he changed me to trimix. I resisted but they work very well if done right. Seldom have acid, stuffy nose, chest pain and flushing for less cost. Pde5s are not safe for everyone. Injections are safer and less costly. Be up front with doc.

But you have noticed a trend in the last year that many people that are involved in athletic sports and many young people are starting to have sudden complications with their hearts.

I think I agree with your concerns but I suspect that's a topic that's not really appropriate to the mission statement of this forum's parent foundation: “To educate men about erectile dysfunction and help them find treatment or cure through education, support, advocacy, and research.”
