My new wife and I were married January 19, 2013. We have yet been able to penetrate as I have experienced ED for over six years. Originally I tought that I just wasn't attracted to my ex-wife. Our marriage had so many pitfalls. Since Ihad lost complete desire for her since I had lost respect for her. When I couildnt get aroused, I just thought it was natural giving my situation. After over a year of seperation and divorce, I met my soul-mate. She is beautiful inside and out. She is humorous, intelligent, pretty, and compassionate. I am so very attracted to her spiritually, emotionally, and physically. We discovered that diabeties had taken a toll on my body. I have had amputations, eye problems, high blood pressure, high cholestrol, Gastrol problems, eye problems, depression, and now thedreaded ED. We have tried two different strengths of MUSE. It would get thicker and red, hurt like hadies, but not hard. Caverject various amounts did the same exact thing. We switched Euro's. The new Euro started me on a medium strength of Trimax. It didn't work. He had us take .50, then .80, then 100. He had me come back. Now we are taking a more powerful mix. We tried .50, 80, and tonight we hopefully will have sucess with 100. I have another appointment with my Euro Monday morning. Each time I would get a little longer and a little thicker. We thought progress was being made. A couple nights ago when it didn't function, my wife broke down. She took it personal. I looked like it could penetrate but would not. As soon as we laid down, little me went soft. It was more than she could take. She feels rejected even though we know it is medical. I desire her motre than any woman I have ever been with. I want her more than anything. We have tried alternative things (i.e. toys, going down town) but it isnt the same. I am afraid that it is going to be tough again tonight. My Euro is talking about going to a quad mix. I am getting tired of getting stuck without results. Is there a support group for our wives? Is there hope? How long before they give up and schedule surgery? I really would likethe implant if it would work. They keep upping formula's and amounts. It is almost a hundred bucks a pop. We are getting broke and discouraged! Please give us some hope!

jLW1964 – Don’t give up hope. I suggest that you give the Quadmix a try. I understand it is several times stronger than regular strength Trimix. Btw, you probably have anxiety about things working, and unfortunately anxiety causes adrenaline, which negatively affects erections. So try to be calm and relaxed (yeah I know, easier said than done). You might even try going solo, to keep some pressure off of you, and gain some confidence. If in the end injections simply won’t work for you, go for the implant. I hear that the vast majority of men who have them are extremely satisfied with them.

Yes, you should check out the Implant Forum. I have suffered increasing ED issues resulting from 20 years of diabetes. I went to injections when 150 mg of Viagra no longe was effective.

I did have some good success with a penis pump and a tight constriction band (Osbon). I was able to achieve and maintain an erection more than sufficient for penetration; however, my erection started to loose sensitivity after 10 minutes and it had to be removed after 20 to 30 minutes to avoid tissue damage due to lack of oxygenation. I did this for several years as the effectiveness of the Viagra started to wane.

Out of curiosity what is your A1c level. Sometimes if you can reduce your blood glucose level, you can improve your ED. I have made great improvement since going on an insulin pump and recently adding Symlin to my meds.
