OK.... 60 years of age. It has been two years post RRP, and the consequence of all the immediate ED complications.
So....scheduled for the Penile Implant the end of April 2013. Dr. Morey [board certified] of UT Southwestern Dallas will be performing the surgery.
I am seeking a post op IPP brother that will let me see, touch, experience their pumping protocol, and ask a lot of specific and obscure questions.
I live in the Fort Worth/Dallas area and would travel to whomever could accommodate my request. In return, I would also obligate/provide the opportunity to others seeking this procedure by allowing them the same observant experience once I am healed. Its a difficult step to take for all, but this networking has shown me that there is recourse.
Seeking a post op mentor
Re: Seeking a post op mentor
Liaison,
I would be happy to help in any way possible. I have demo'ed my implant several times, some by video, some in person. I have no issues with someone wanting to physically feel all the equipment. I even let my nephew check it out because he couldn't quite grasp the concept of how it worked, so I finally asked him if he wanted to see it, and he said yes. Now he understands, and thinks he has a pretty cool uncle.
The only problem is that I am in Michigan and I still work daily. We can email, phone, or you can visit if you wish if you can't find anyone closer. Let me know!

Re: Seeking a post op mentor [Thank You]
To all the generous and gracious members that responded to my request...Thank You.
I found an open and uninhibited mentor that shared his experience, and showed me the advantages and the positive outcome of his recent IPP surgery. His exuberance and upbeat attitude regarding the medical process, and the buoyant reflection of his new beginning is most inspiring.
My IPP is scheduled for the end of April. I will remember my promise to "pay it forward" when a prospective candidate for IPP surgery needs a talk, look, see and touch interaction. It is the least I can do.
All the Best
