Got a new batch of my trimix. Did an injection last night, but with the old mix. Had to inject twice because I never got hard with first injection.
Tonight, used new one. Same units as I normally use. Again: only partially hard. Sitting here with it halfway there, not moving. Now I’m going to have to hit it again. If it were not for different batches, I’d think the new one was weak, but it happened twice now with separate batches. What in the world? So sudden to stop working.

How many batches have you been through.
Your mix is pretty weak leaving plenty of room to titrate up if needed.

Re: Suddenly, bad results (trimix)
I've been through 1 batch over the last six months, which varied success. When I started this all a year (ish) ago, I would react to 3 units. Now, depending on the day, it can be between 4 and 6, and seems to be more powerful on the left side than the right.
I don't know enough about this to understand:
1. why would one side have a better reaction than another?
2. as time progresses, how "used to" the dose do I get requiring more and more?
Last night, I made sure I was pre plumped, and I hit the right side with 5 units of my new bottle. It took about 25 mins to get to teenager hard, but lasted only about an hour, as I think we went at it pretty hard and my heart rate was way up there, so I can only surmise I "burned out" the med faster, or blood decided to go to my other organs (I was standing up for the sex).
In month past, 5 units would be 2 hours, maybe a touch more. :: shrug ::

Re: Suddenly, bad results (trimix)
That is a weak mix you have, and you have also been injecting a small dose. Definitely work your way up in units. Once you get past 30 or so, ask your uro to write a higher mix, then start off low again. It takes a lot of trial and error to get to the point that's comfortable.
As to the sides for injections, I think (and just my humble opinion here) you favor whatever side your hands favor.....if you are right-handed, injecting on the right side is easier. I've found injecting on the left side awkward. That may be the reason.

ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.
Re: Suddenly, bad results (trimix)
That mix is pretty weak. You need to step up your prescription. Even then you will find injection results will vary by location. I learned that close to my body produced better and more consistent results. I also started using a 5/16" needle to keep from going all the way through the cavernosum. Once I finally got the procedure down, I still discovered that every couple of months I have to increase the units by 5 or so.

I don't know. Some wild guesses:
When all you're using is 5 units a small error in technique can make a big difference in outcome. It could also be a worsening venous leak.
I don't know why one side needs more than the other but it could possibly be related to technique, as previously mentioned. It's generally easier to inject on one side and more difficult on the other depending on which is your strong hand. I suppose it could be something to do with your dicks structure but I have no idea about that kind of thing although other guys have also reported that. Are you kinda massaging the juice in while compressing the injection site with your prep pad?
Again, you're using a tiny amount of a weak juice. At that level small variables of any kind could make a very noticeable difference.
Good luck.

Re: Suddenly, bad results (trimix)
Okay, so this bottle says this for strength:
pap - 17.65
phen 0.59
alpro 5.9
So a little different from what's in my profile. I don't know what's considered "strong" or "weak." Is there a good reference?

Re: Suddenly, bad results (trimix)
I assume by your mix you're using Olympia. Here is a PDF found on their site that appears to list all of their ED injection offerings. A quick perusal of the form indicates your mix is the weakest they offer:

I wouldn't rush to a stronger mix. Ideally (IMHO) you want a mix that allows you to use at least 10 units just to make things a little easier. With my mix I'm using 14 to 15 units and I think that's a good place to be.

Re: Suddenly, bad results (trimix)
Thank you for the help. I played with it more:
Yesterday, 6 units left side: 2 hours of fun time
Today: 6 on the right. Didn’t make it an hour.
I’m right handed so that is the easy side for me. I think I must have a leak on the right side or something since the right has always been less sensitive. But this is a new leap. Moving from 3-4 units to now doing 6, and the right side being near useless.
So weird.

Re: Suddenly, bad results (trimix)
When I was first using Trimix a dose of 10-12 would give me an erection for two hours. Within a year I was up to 30-40 to get the same reaction. When it took 60 to get the same reaction the soreness the next day was terrible. Plus it started giving me migraines. I moved to Quadmix and 10 gave me a solid erection for a good hour to two hours. Unfortunately, that didn't last by the next vial it was taking 20-30. I quit when 50 didn't do squat a couple times in a row.
Injecting was always a pain for me. Interrupt the mood to go jab yourself with a needle so you can carry on.
Like many have said, you have to play with the dosage to find what works. Hopefully you find the correct dose or make adjustments to the strength. For me it just didn't take long to become immune to Trimix and the implant was the next step. I haven't regretted it since I healed.
