I have been getting injections of testosteral at my URO office for years. I am now going to do my own injections, which is fine. I had my URO send in an order to express scripts or syringes and needles to do the job. (Here is something I don't understand, She takes a 18 gauge needle to draw the stuff out of the vial, then she switches the needle to a 25 gauge needle to jab me in the ass with. If you can inject with a 25 gauge needle why can't you draw with the same size)?
So she sends a script to express scripts for the syringe (Leur-lock) and the two different size needles. Now, the cost of those three items through the military pharmacy for home delivery is $87.00 co-pay, and the copay just went up as of January 1st. OH, I forgot to mention the order only calls for 6 each of the syringe and needles.
So, I started checking online and found I can order all three items at a quanity of 100 each for a total including tax for $32.00. A savings of about $50.00.
So, for any of you guys and or gals who are getting syringes and needles through express scripts you are being ripped off.
Also, I would like to know if a smaller gauge needle than 25 gauge can be used to draw or inject the medication.
Any help or comments are appreciated.

Its thick and hard to draw with small needle, but I do it every time. Just takes couple minutes to fill--but easier than switching needles IMHO
56, ED 10-15 years. Pills, Bi, Tri then Quad Mix Injections- all slowly less effective. IPP July 2022 (Penscrotal, Titan, 22 + 1) @6mo back to OEM--7.2"L x 5.5"w

Hello ShouldI wait---Thank you for your response. I will give the smaller needle a try when it's time to get the injection (next week). If it works well I will just stay with the smaller needle. Where do you inject yourself? My URO says (which I know is not correct) you can only inject the stuff in your hip. Lots of guys on this forum inject in thigh and stomach area. I saw a video a couple days ago where a doctor showed how he injected in this stomach. He said it was less painful than the butt or thigh.

Been injecting for 5 years. Originally I used 1ml every two weeks at clinic at a cost of $2.50 per shot. After almost 3 years started self injections. I hit my thigh about halfway between hip and knee. At about the 1-2 o’clock area and alternate. I have a great insurance coverage and it cost me zip when self administered. It’s all about insurance as I get from express scrips also. I have used smaller needles to draw but it’s very difficult and take a minute or two. Something about drawing is much more difficult than pudding it out. Also I do 1/2ml every week giving me a lot better testosterone level. Before I had a bit of a rollercoaster but with weekly it evenend out nicely. Yes as with my trimix you can purchase your own needles they Amazon at a much more reasonable price.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!
