Paroxetine vs Sertraline
Paroxetine vs Sertraline
Hi, anyone has any experience with Paroxetine vs Sertraline for lifelong PE? I am currently on Paroxetine but am suffering from severe tiredness and dry mouth and am thinking of switching to Sertraline. Any advice or information on your personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

I use Paroxetine and it works and yes it does have some side effects- for me it makes me bit dull and dizzy. I am sure Sertraline would have similar side effects..

Re: Paroxetine vs Sertraline
Paroxetine is more sedative, specially in first weeks. Wait more weeks. Also low dosing (2.5/5/10mg) works for PE and don’t make you too sleepy.
Sertraline is more active (dopaminergic), but in general the same effects.
1 - If you are starting, wait some weeks
2 - Try low dosing
3 - Switch to other SSRI

I do paxil on nights before sex is a likelihood, around 20mg. If I do just one night I feel fine after - if I do multiple nights in a row I start to be way tired. My ex wife took it for extreme anxiety/OCD - 40mg daily - she napped for hours daily.
