Traveling with Trimix for the first time
Traveling with Trimix for the first time
Hey everyone. I am planning to travel with my Trimix vial in a few weeks. The commute is going to be about a 4hr drive. I read in a different thread that some guys use an insulin cooler travel case with gel packs and others use a thermos filled with ice. I am having a hard time deciding which way to go. Has anyone tried both ways and can comment as to which method provides the better cooling?

The thermos/ice will stay cooler within the lifespan of the ice.

Ok then. Sounds like I will go with the thermos and ice method. I imagine the insulin travel case is more for air travel since I doubt you can get a thermos full of ice through airport security.

Yes, for just 4 hours either method will work. The thermos with ice may be the cheaper route. Think I paid around $25 for an insulin cold pack carry case. That was for a 3 hour flight to Vegas, but probably 5-6 hours more travel time and waiting to access the room. Worked well.

Ok thanks. I already have a thermos which is why I posted the question. I do however plan on getting an insulin case eventually.

I took it to a playdate at a hotel. Put it in the syringe, left the syringe in the freezer, put it in a backpack with an ice pack. Injected. Worked like a dream.

Cool. Good to know for local action!

You don't need anything special. Here is what I do: I'm in a long distance relationship and she works from home so if my woman comes and sees me for a month, I will take about 14 preloaded syringes and place them in a hide away can of Ajax (had a little compartment in the bottom that you can unscrew and hide them in there and it looks like a normal can of Cleaning AJAX Can) and place that under the bathroom sink. What I learned is Trimix is very potent and maintains it potency for a long time. By the end of the 30 day that stuff is still strong and it take a long time to lose its potency. Just simply find something to place it in....like maybe a toothbrush holder. Trust me.....you'll be fine.
