This forum is full of great information, I have read so many post regarding the device, mostly good and some bad. My main concern is this: I my worried about how the implant might look in public thru my clothes, I don't want to go around looking like I have this huge thing between my legs all the time. I have also always been a grower and my erect length is around 6 3/4 of an inch and girth is around 5.5 inches. My VED length is 7 1/4 inches and 6.3 around. So having a flaccid length that long concerns me. I am also nude a lot outside by the pool , that doesn't really bother me, but being at work around people does. At my job I sit a lot and worried about being uncomfortable with this thing packed inside mu pants for long periods of time.
Has anyone else felt this way, just wondering.

I felt that way for a fraction of a moment. When I decided I needed an implant, I accepted the risk that I might look a little different. The trade-off was an immediate, "WORTH IT!"
Here is my reasoning which I think will be of some value to you.
Conventional wisdom (with which I agree) is that if you want sex and less invasive solutions are unsatisfying, an implant is very nearly as good as a fully functioning penis/erection. In some ways better with a few drawbacks.
One of the drawbacks is lack of spontaneous erection during foreplay and the need to actually pump the thing up.
The drawback you have focused on is flaccid size. A valid concern, to be sure, but I expect you will get little agreement here. Most of the readers in this section of the forum have implants, right, so your audience has selected itself down.
I was a grower. I liked the compactness of my genitalia, the lack of a conspicuous bulge in a swimsuit (I raced in high school and wore a racing suit as a adult until my belly made it ridiculous, but that part is another story.) With my implant, some small adjustments had to be made.
Getting in and out of my car was problematic for a couple of months until swelling went down and I got used to the extra contents of my scrotum. Now, I do not even think about it.
Bulge in my pants is a little bit more than I had before. My pre-implant flaccid was 3 inches, sometimes almost 5 if there was a bit of tumescence (which also affected flexibility, making the bulge of a half-erection troublesome). Now my flaccid is about 5 inches all the time but the flexibility makes even that size a non-issue. Yes, there will be a bulge, but no more than a typical (shower) man at 100% flaccid shows. For reference, my full erection is 6".
My experience is with the LGX which shortens as you deflate. The CX does not shrink in size as much and the Coloplast (being made of a stiffer material) is the most problematicly bulging. Note also the the Coloplast takes several months to get close to the softness/flexibility (when flaccid) as the AMS devices have right out of the box (and never does completely reach it).
Still, even the Coloplast devices are concealable and comfortable once you 1) learn to "dress around the gun" (ask any stylish woman how women dress to emphasize or hide body features they wish to conceal or accentuate) or 2) get used to the sensation of those extra parts and orientation.
There are numerous threads discussing the various brands/models of underwear that make implanted life more convenient. Wearing your penis pointed up and to the side, hanging down, squished into submission by compression garments are all potential solutions (though that last one is not so popular).
If you want to be able to have coital sex and pills, injections, suppositories or vacuum devices with constriction rings do not work for you, an implant is the only currently available option. If you can live happily without coitus (there are lots of other ways to achieve satisfaction for your partner and you) you don't NEED an implant. But if you do need one or just WANT to have penetrative sex, it is necessary to learn how to and to effect the "workarounds" that have sufficed for many men here.
So you can gauge how relevant my comments are to you, I will try to describe my level of desperation to have P-I-V sex. I (and my partners) suffered ED (mostly erections that faded quickly unless I gat a lot of stimulation - which invariably resulted in orgasm, ejaculation and collapse of the erection). With that decades-long frustration, when the three most common oral medications failed (they lasted for about 10 years before losing effectiveness) I did not hesitate to take the implant option. I was ready.
Workarounds: Roomier pants. Underwear that controls where your penis points. Untucked shirts. Getting accustomed to moving/sitting so you don't get bothered by the pump in your scrotum. All fairly easy to do. A lot easier than finding workarounds for sex, in my opinion.
Good luck. I hope my thoughts help.

Re: About to talk myself out of this and why
If your choices are,
1) Having erectly dysfunction hindering your sexual experiences now and in the future, or
2) Having more noticeable bulge,
I think the choice is pretty clear. I feel awkward about mine now sometimes too, but the thing is, who is ever going to say anything about it? And what will they even say?
I am a man and it's my penis. Not much I can do about it.

Re: About to talk myself out of this and why
I'm sorry, i just... I just cant bring myself to understand how/why someone with erectile disfunction would have to stop and think and possibly reconsider saving their sex life because they're afraid of having a *checks notes* ... a visible bulge ...
How is this such a terrifying prospect to so many people lol like what are you afraid of? How many implanted dicks have YOU gawked at on the beach? Surely you've walked past at least a dozen implanted men in your lifetime...some of them would have to have been on the beach or at a pool... and yet you've probably NEVER even noticed let alone gawked, taken pictures and laughed about it with your family and friends or something ridiculous like that. Hmmmmm. Gee, aint that funny?
So what's more terrifying to you...having a bulge until the implant softens up? Or never having a reliable penis again.

Re: About to talk myself out of this and why
Yea, I would rather have the bulge then ED. ED is the most depressing thing a man can go through. I have an eight incher and it does not bother me at all, fact I love the size of my dick. Women just love it and there have been many. And on bath houses have been complemented by other men as to having a nice dick. But ED is just not in my book as something I would accept.

I still plan on having this done. After reading so many post it seems that the AMS 700 LGX gives you a more natural flaccid look by hanging down instead of out while deflated. I am planning on the Coloplast Titan for the durability, was concerned about how it would hang.
For those that have the Coloplast IPP for awhile , is it comfortable hanging down or is that possible

2 1/2 years with my Titan. The first few months were tough. Sleeping, trying to fit into pants, and even taking a leak all had to be modified to stay comfortable. As I used it more and it softened up my flaccid now hangs down where my penis used to pre implant. However, my flaccid now is much bigger than pre-ED, and the bulge is quite noticeable in underwear. In sweatpants if standing tall the bulge is noticeable. In jeans can't see it at all.
Got to say I agree with most here. It's either no more sex and a floppy hose only good for peeing, or get the implant and continue life as you've known it before ED. The adjustment is easy.
