Like learning to ride a bike again??

Postby SmoothOperator » Fri May 27, 2022 2:05 pm

Not ever really being a hunky dude, one thing I always had going for me was a big dick and strong tongue. My wife and I had a strong sex life for 25+ years. I started having ED issues and thought it was due to aging and low T. Later, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After a robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy, I realized my erections were not coming back. Viagra, VED and injections worked for awhile but eventually failed. Insurance refused to pay for an implant. I felt like no sex was better than bad sex. My insurance changed recently to Blue Cross and was pleasantly surprised when they said they will pay for the implant. I am scheduled to receive a Titan implant on June 23rd. I am heavily anticipating that this surgery will bring back that spark we once had. It's been so long since I have performed quality wise, I was wondering if having sex again is like learning to ride a bike all over again and if anyone in the forum has gone through this. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
59 years old married to a wonderful wife. Diagnosed at 54 with Prostate Cancer. Radical Prostatectomy in 07/18. ED since surgery. Pills, pumps and injections worked at first but eventually failed. Coloplast Titan Touch implanted on June 23,2020.

Smooth…. I was just implanted on the 18th so I’m 8 days out and think about your questions daily. For 10 plus years I had to take pills and for the last 17 months relied on injections. I’m in same boat as you. I’ve been hindered with ED for over 12 years. My wife has been a trooper thru all this and has worked with me …most of the time. Looking forward to the new normal in a few weeks…. Hoping it will get back to post ED where if you want to have a quickie this eve and then again in the morning it can happen with a simple pump up. I hope and pray every day that our sex life will improve and get much better with the implant.. good luck to you.

You guys have no idea the amazing time that is coming your way!
I can tell you not to worry, you’ll do it anyway. It’s totally natural but you will love it after like 4 months.
47 year old swinger. Had 36+ hour priapism that landed me in ER twice over 48 hours. Scarring in my penis makes it to where I’m at risk of severe priapism at any time. Erections inconsistent. Implanted by Dr. Eid on December 21st 2021, Coloplast Titan OTR

I mean no disrespect by saying it is comforting to know I am not alone in feeling this way. The closer I get to my surgery date, the more anticipation I feel. Thanks and good luck in your recovery!

Well, as luck would have it, our 33rd anniversary is in 4 months. What a nice anniversary that might be! Thanks for letting me know!

You won't forget how to use it. But at first it will be strange at first between wow I'm actually erect and how long you can go on. Your wife will love it as much as you do.

At this point, I can only imagine how things will be. If it's anything like what you guys on FT say, it'll definitely be worth it. Thanks

I am about your age- I was implanted in Jan and just passed the 4 month mark- I will second the statement that it took 4 months to get basically completely comfortable. The 1st 4-6 weeks you will be miserable, no underwear will be comfortable, walking, sitting whatever you do will be uncomfortable. After 6 weeks things will start to be bearable. Your doctor will likely clear you for sex at 4 -6 weeks out. I was cleared at 4 weeks and tried having sex a couple times between 4 and 8 weeks, but it just hurt too much so avoided it until about 9 weeks when it became somewhat comfortable in basic positions. it slowly got better and now at 4 months I can pump to the max and can do anything I want with it pain free. Just mentally prepare yourself for a tough couple months, but I have no regrets and really love mine now.
Age 54, venous leak and some scarring, tried daily/occasional Cialis for awhile then a few months various doses of tri/quad mix. Either helped and would produce 50-60%.erections, but never really full. Implanted 1/20/22 26cm” Titan- Dr. Hakky

I would say that it will be life changing for you. You wouldn't have the pressure of 'will i get it up' because your new weapon will work each and every time and for as long as you want it to. The real beauty of it is that you can take your time during forplay which will make you a much better lover - my girlfriend really appreciates that.
55 yo Aussie. E.D all my life. Used Viagra for years but. Went on to Injections which worked well but very inconvenient and didnt work sometimes. Implanted Jan'18 with Titan one touch 20cm/ 1.5RTE by Pro Chung in Brisbane.
