I like to trim my pubic hair with a clipper on a regular basis and although I'm careful I always end up nicking myself and drawing blood. I imagine this could result in an infection if you have an implant. Do the implanted members here shave or trim their public hair?
An option is to use a depilatory cream. Any suggestions on which one?
TIA

Once you are fully healed can just follow normal regimen. I shave daily with no issue or worry.
AMS700 CX 21cm with 3 RTE 4-2019 by Dr Natale - failed 5-2021. Revision 6-2021 with issue (scrotal hematoma and infection). Dr. Ryan Terlecki revision 3-28-2022 (AMS700 CX 21cm with 1.5cm RTE). Cylinder failure at 18 months. 24cm AMS700 CX 11-29-2023.

I trim the pubes with an electric razor with a #3 guard. Then shave the shaft and balls with a Gillette "Body" manual razor. Never had any issue. I tried shaving my groin bald, which is very common in the naturist community, and didn't really like it.
20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.
Implanted 2/18/21, AMS CX, 18 CM + 3 RTE, penoscrotal. Have gained 3/4". Gay, married, age 68.

I was concerned about this and thinking about it today also. I wonder how easy it is to get an Implant infected. Do we have to worry about this the rest of our life or until completely healed.
After initial implantation I understand then I wonder how much longer. I think doctor said bigger risk is the first 3 mos. But I read on FT up to one year. I will confirm again at follow up.

This is something that is always bothering me. I used to use Gillete razor before implant. After implant, I tried one time and nicked myself in the scrotum . I was so scared to get an infection. I noticed a scab in the place, but thanks God nothing happened.
I got hair remover cream from Amazon (intimate areas). I am now on it.

I too like hair removal… Though I used to use clippers and scissors and in some areas a hair removal product… However I see some are saying to use that hair removal product all over but you really cannot use Nair or neat or any of those type of things on the testicles or penis or side of the penis… It burns very quickly and it even says on the bottle not to use this on the genitals… I did get some on my testicles one time by mistake only for a couple of minutes and it was quite painful and a burning sensation… Not sure what we will all do about hair removal now as none of us want an infection from a nick from a clipper or a scissors… A question I will follow up with my doctor at my first follow up visit. I will post his answer…
Re: pubic hair trimming/depilatory after implant?
I used a cordless rechargeable clipper/razor. Just be careful and if you do have a nick treat it the same as you did for your incision. You may also want to use an alcohol wipe before shaving. I use alcohol wipes after every shower to prevent any kind of jock rash. Works great. If you are still concerned just shower and use Hibiclens soap before shaving. Of course you should be careful of the incision site and stay away for it until it is fully healed. After that just be careful and things should be ok. They were for me.
Good luck.
Good luck.

No problem with trimming but if that is the direction you go, consider laser hair removal. It great.
