New guy to the forum

Hello to all in the forum. I am a 57 year old male married to my wife for 29 years. As a single man I got way more women than I deserved and constantly wish I could go back in time.

Two years ago I had a heart incident, requiring a stent. While in the hospital I was informed I was diabetic. I had been suffering from a progressing ED and wrote it off to advancing age.

Seven years ago I started using viagra. At that time I could gnaw on the edge of the tablet and get a great erection. Over the years it took more and more viagra...to the point a 100MG would do no good.

I am at my wits end as to how to solve this problem. I enrolled in an ED study for a new medication that was touted as the "Instant Viagra" They kicked me out of the study for low testosterone (Seems that they only want winners in the study)

I am now thinking that injection therapy is my next choice. I love my wife and very much want to continue a fruitful sex life for at least another 10 years.

Welcome aboard, the men here are a wealth of information so your in a good place
You WILL find your solution....I can't offer any advise on injections many guys on here seem to have some good things to say about them? I suffered from age 37 and jumped straight into implant at 41(bout 8 mo. Ago) it was the right choice for me.
And I think you will find your selling yourself short on the 10 yrs, some on here have some stories that have me hopeful for getting older.

Most likely your diabetes is the culprit, along with your other heart related meds ...

Ask your URO about a testosterone supplement ... give yourself every chance you can. Especially considering your other medical issues.

Most URO's will give you a test shot in the office to see if you respond (80% effective) ... while you are there inquire about a VED system (vacuum pump)

If you have low testosterone, you should check with your physician regarding doing something about it. Fifty-seven is too young to write off your sex life as a result of aging. I'm over 70 and don't plan ever to write off my sex life. Injections do work for me and lots of my friends here. Read through the injections forums to get a good education in this area. Also, you might consider asking about a prescription for daily Cialis 2.5 or 5mg. That always makes it possible for me to have an erection and contributes to my waking up with hard nocturnal erections, as well, and that rehabilitates your penis.

I was poked and prodded and tested and tried and bumped and biopsied until my medical team all agreed that my limp dick was due to diabetes and not to anything else, including enlarged prostate, low T, heart valve surgery, ad infinitum. None of the three oral meds did much good, so I was "promoted" to trimix injections some 3 years ago. I've been singing "God Bless America" ever since.

My advice is to find a good urologist, nail down the cause of your ED, and pursue appropriate treatment. In the meantime, it won't hurt to eat healthier and maybe hit the gym now and then. I've lost 50 pounds during the last 3 years and feel better than I have in years.

I agree with Greg (antelope) about the diet change. In some cases diabetes, heart disease and ED are 'acquired' diseases and therefore reversible. If that is a possibility in your case, consider a plant based diet. I started one back in September (2012), and have dropped 19 lbs, dropped cholesterol 102 points and stopped heart and cholesterol medications. Most of my ED recovery has been through penis exercises (PE), stretches/squeezes but no doubt the diet has contributed a lot to sensitivity regeneration.
