RVing
Re: RVing
A new diesel pickup would be nice, but I really like my 3/4 ton Suburban with 8.1L gas motor. I keep it in almost showroom condition. It's paid for and is very comfortable to travel in with things secure inside. Yes, it likes gasoline, but it beats payments. Hope it lasts through my RVing years, but if not, I'll go diesel (or whatever is around then).

Flew from Alabama to Wisconsin yesterday to buy a 2017 Tiffin Wayfarer (25 foot Class C). Time for some RVing adventures.

I can tell a big difference with the diesel vs. my old gas truck as I never pulled my fifth wheel with the gas truck I did use to pull my wakeboard board boat with it and if there was a hill or long grade uphill and I didn’t get a running start or got behind someone slow I would be lagging real hard trying to get up the hill, with the diesel I could stop on an uphill and take of easily. The diesel has way more torque and I would not even try and pull my fifth wheel with the gasser (2003 dodge 1/2 ton)

Re: RVing
We drive a van with a tent. We stop at campsites, so we have traveled all over America. A year ago we reached Texas, two years ago we reached Utah. I am sure that many forum users have traveled further away. We recently bought a new Slumberjack tent, which we read about in a cool blog. In the near future, I'm thinking of doing a van, it will be necessary to replace something, the most important thing is to do it all on time.

We never travel any farther than the grocery store.
