1st time on Trimix

Postby tpscpa » Tue Apr 30, 2013 9:22 pm

I got my first dosage of Trimix today at the urologist's office. A little background; I am 55, had a radical prostatectomy on December 5 last year. It was robotic assisted nerve sparing surgery but I have had absolutely no erections since. No nocturnal, nothing even close to a partial erection. It has been very frustrating. I have used a vacuum pump for about two months now and that has worked reasonably well. I can maintain an erection with the constriction band after pumping up and have intercourse successfully. It was workable and way better than nothing at all but I wanted to try the trimix after reading quite a bit about it and discussing with the urologist on a couple of occasions. This web site was great for providing a lot of information on the topic.

So, back to today's experience. They had me pick up the trimix at the compounding pharmacy and I had a brief discussion with the pharmacist. He was helpful but really didn't tell me anything I hadn't already learned. Then I headed over to the doctor's office. After the preliminary vital signs, blood pressure, weigh in, etc. it was in to the examination room with the male nurse and his female compadre. He asked if I had the syringes. No, I left them in the car assuming a world-class cancer facility would have plenty of syringes on premises. Bad assumption, so I went back to the car and got them. Back in the office, the male nurse, an all around good guy, was now alone and explained to me how to inject. Showed me some instructions and illustrations. Again, nothing that I hadn't learned already. Now it was time to get down to business. He injected 10 units into the left side of my penis explaining what he was doing each step of the way. I wasn't expecting much pain, just a little sting since I had injected allegy shots in the arm many times and know that there is not much to it. The mild sting was even less than I anticipated. Very mild indeed. He asked me right away, do you feel anything, is it getting hard? Well no, not really but is was only like seven seconds so I wasn't expecting anything instantaneous. He told me to massage the penis and I should feel something shortly. He left the room and said he would check back soon. I massaged a little bit and after about eight or ten minutes I began to feel a little erect but really nothing to write home about. I would say about 30% erect. I played with it a little more and after about 20 minutes I guess it was about 60% and I was pleased. I figured this was about as good as it was going to get with this initial 10 unit dose so I began to think about leaving. The nurse came back to check and I told him it was starting to work and I would probably leave soon. Earlier he had shown me the instructions of what to do if I had an erection that would not quit and told me I may want to pick up some Sudafed on the way home. Now, that it was time to leave and I had a decent, not great, erection I figured the Sudafed can wait, I will go home and this partial erection will be gone pretty soon. My second bad assumption of the day! I went home and continued to get harder until I had a major erection. I would call it a solid 95% +. Wow, this stuff works pretty good. I was very happy indeed. I hung around the house and the hour and a quarter mark that the instruction sheet said should concern me came and went. I figured, surely this is going to start to go down soon. Two and one half hour mark and I was still stiff as a board. Now I was regretting not picking up that Sudafed. I had an ice pack on my groin by now as recommended in the write up. I went to the Sudafed website and researched the various variations they make. Nothing looked like the 60ml that the doctor's write up suggested but the 12-hour version was 120ml so that looked like the best option. I had some Zyrtec in the house I take for sinus allegies so as my level of concern had now increased I decided to take one, figuring it may not be Sudafed, but maybe it will help. Now I am at the three and a half hour mark and still stiff as a board. I am going to have to drive to the pharmacy and get some Sudafed. So I put on a loose shirt to cover my major erection and headed up to Walgreens. Aha, they have a drive in so I though it was worth a shot. I told the lady I wanted some Sudafed. She said you must come into the store to sign for it. So in I go after positioning my loose shirt as best I can. Fashion is gonna take a back seat here for sure. I get the 12-hour Sudafed and take one as soon as I get back to the car. Head back on home. Back at home I am at the four-hour mark. Isn't that the mark the Viagra commercials always mention for seeking emergency medical help? Wow, I am getting super nervous. I say to myself I will give this Sudafed a half hour to show some results and if no progress I will have to head to the emergency room with my printed instruction sheet. I continued to apply the icepack and play with myself to see if I could detect any softening whatsoever. I couldn't help thinking of the irony, I had been wishing for a good erection for five months straight and now I was wishing a great one would go the hell away! After another half an hour or so, I could detect some softening and felt I was making progress. No emergency room for me. I was still about 75% erect but definitely moving in the right direction. I kept the ice applied and at about the five hour mark I decided I better take a little more Sudafed. The box said I could take two tablets in 24 hours so I cut a second tablet in half and took the half. At the five hour mark I was still about 50% erect, no joke. It was at the six hour and a half mark that I was finally back to a flaccid state. That certainly was not what I was expecting from the 10 unit starter dose. I feel fortunate I did not have to go to the emergency room. I was mighty close to going on a couple of occasions. I don't feel I did any damage to my penis and I am really glad about that. Right now my mouth and sinuses are drier than the Sahara desert after the Zyrtec and Sudafed. When I try the Trimix this weekend with my wife I am going to use much less that 10 units, maybe try 5 and see what happens. This stuff has made a believer out of me.

Check out my story here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2538&start=30 , starting with the post made on March 19 at 9:50 P.M.

What happened to me is very similar to your story.

What I found out, too late, is that the 12 or 24 hour Sudafed is worthless for us. This is all discussed on the above thread. What I have found since then is that I need to take four 30 mg fast-acting (non-timed release) pills for it to work, which is twice as much as recommended on the package. I bought the Walmart's brand which has the same active ingredient as the pricier Sudafed.

tpsca, my first experience ( i use bimix) was very similar to yours. It is kinda scary, but I think you handled it ( no pun intended) very well. Congrats on your success. :)

I had virtually the same experience the first time using 30 units--doctor's recommendation. That was 3 years ago. I "down-dosed" myself to 2-3-4 units over about a 30 day period and have stayed there ever since. My pharmacist and I are now BFF's. He gets a big kick from my calling Trimix my "Joy Juice".

Shows me that there are different strokes for different folks. I pump in 50 units, and it lasts just long enough to get the job done, and whoosh!!---like a balloon letting out it's air it is all gone. Must have a leak that looks like a 4 inch pipe.
