Hello all
This is my first post. Later this month will be 2 years since my radical prostatectomy. The surgeon and his PA reassured me over and over again I should recover my continence and potency due to my overall health and young age 55. Well I am about 98% continent which they consider success (I do not). I had perfect erections when ever I wanted them before surgery now with the help of cialis and viagra the best I can do is about 30%. I am looking at a male sling and an implant. I will not let my prostatectomy butcher, Dr Louis Anglo, sorry not sorry, surgeon near my body ever again.
I am considering Dr Goldenberg with Urology of St. Louis. Has anyone used him? Are you pleased with the results? Has anyone else used a different surgeon in St. Louis? If so tell me about your experience please.

Dr recommendation St Louis MO
57 years old, prostatectomy July 2020, nothing other than a VED worked for ED. But I am cancer free here to live and complain about what RP did to me and the lies the surgeon told.

Dr. Goldenberg installed my implant 18 months ago. I was challenging because of massive Peyronie's plaque, and he did an excellent job, and I couldn't be happier. Have you met with him? If not, you should to see what you think of him.
20 years of severe Peyronie's plaque, 90 curve, hinging and ED. Cost me 1.5" L and 1" G.
Implanted 2/18/21, AMS CX, 18 CM + 3 RTE, penoscrotal. Have gained 3/4". Gay, married, age 68.

I believe you've already got the best kind of reply possible a personal recommendation. If your insurance won't cover him then you can always try going online with edcure.org and finding a physician in your area. Just keep in mind that they list the worst with the best. So you need to do further research try to find some kind of a scorecard in advance. Another possibility is to post a message at your local senior centers asking someone to contact you. You probably have about a 5% chance on that one perhaps a better choice is to contact either coloplast for a Titan or AMS for a CX or an LG X and ask them to have a local RN representative contact you. They will give you the name of the implanter that they directly work with. But again you're dealing with the worst to the best. I would definitely go online and try to find a scorecard for anybody they recommend. These people are in it for the money first and anything else second. Another question I assume that when they pulled your urethra down to connect it to the bladder that you probably lost an inch. A word of warning if you don't recover that lost inch before surgery the chances are you never will. If you can't do that naturally I would suggest using Ved aggressively. Whatever it takes unless you have plenty to spare

I have met Dr Goldenberg I do like him very much. I just don’t want to make a bad decision like I did with the prostatectomy.
I use a VED every day. Surgery and not pumping initially cost me 1.5 inches. I pump aggressively to the point that it hurts. I got 0.75 inches back, I can’t seem to get the other back no matter what I do. I am concerned the implant will cost some more length. I was 6.5 before surgery now a little more than 5.5. This f’ing cancer really takes a toll on your ego and self esteem.

Well of course nobody wants to wait forever to have Ed fixed. I was impotent over 2 years but that's a bit extreme in my opinion. Still studies show that it takes up to a year Ved to gain all that you can get. I don't know how long you've been doing it but you may try morning and night everyday and just wait and see for a month or two. I used to put little marks on my cylinder got so marked up I had to throw it away and get another one lol best of luck

FWIW, I came out of surgery the same size I went in. With aggressive cycling (for months) I have gained three-quarters of an inch.

I know another FrankTalk member, 139Cardinals, who does not get on here very often. Dr. Goldenberg did his implant, and he was also very happy with the result.
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.
