Need Help !!!

Postby barrybdayton » Fri May 03, 2013 5:18 am

Hello to all FT's members,
I'm 51 and I had my biopsy on 12/31/2012. Three of twelve core samples tested positive for cancer, Gleason score of 7 (3 + 4). I had robotic RP on 2/2013 with DR. Weise. He has done over 2000 opts roboticaly. Was supposed to be a total nerve sparing operation....well ended up being a unilaterl RP. Doctor put me on Cialis 20mg twice a week, By the way is there any safe place to buy theses or foreign generics???....as of now they don't do anything for me, but as doctor says they aint boner pills... Also using a "Osbon Erectaid Classic" VED. I can get up pretty good, over an inch past the last line, only problem is the best I can do is about 60 % after I use the relief valve. When using the rings that came with it (ouch) only have tried it twice...one time successful penetration and other time my fiance had problems. I have the drive, but she had gastric surgery two days before my RP and she is not doing so well with it and I'll just say we only have tried to make love 4 times since my surgery. So I really do not know where I am in recovery. From reading it sounds like you get scare tissue from doing the injections, which might cause a problem of getting an implaint? I'm thinking of getting the implaint around September if possible. My insurance covers part of the implaint, but nothing else for meds or accessories. From the looks of it I will probably not have health insurance by the end of the year with "Bamma Care" going into effect January 2014. So that is why I'm in somewhat of a hurry...and I think it will be the only way I'll be happy having sex for many years to come, because I do not think I would be happy with the other methods. Looking forward to hearing from you all about what I am thinkig of doing

Barry.

Have a good long talk with your urologist! The implants work well and reliably. The down side is that if you don't like your implant you can't go back.
If your urologist thinks that an implant might be a good idea, do your home work and find the best implant urologist for you. Someone with experience that you can talk to.

Don't be surpised if there is some scar tissue in the bladder from the RP. If you have had hernia repairs, you reservoir might have to have an alternate location. An implant is a big deal even if it is only an overnighter at the hospital! The healing rate varies all over the place from very rapid to slow; they attendant pain is the smae way from nearly none to bad. Most of the time it is not so bad. I was lucky fast healing, very little pain, did have problems with scar tissure in bladder and from hernia repair. Still everything went quite well to the point of making me a bit biased in favor of inmplants.

Do you homework well on this and you should be well pleased, whatever direction that you go.
