How long does it take for the pump to become easy to operate?

Postby Scott61 » Fri Jul 08, 2022 10:20 pm

I have 4 days to go before I go back to the doctor for my first follow up after getting a Coloplast implant. I haven’t tried to squeeze the pump or anything else. I was told not to mess with it until I went back for my follow up appointment. It does feel pretty hard though. I’m wondering how long it takes for it to become easy to operate, where you’re not worried about whether you will be able to deflate it or not, etc., and you’re comfortable inflating it anytime you want to.

My release valve has worked easily from when I first started to inflate and deflate.

My pump took a few months to soften up. Until then, I inflated before having sex because it was awkward to pause in the middle of foreplay for a minute or so while I inflated.

Look at Dr Perrito's mtp on inflation. I found one of his tricks works very well in terms of inflating it.
My pump is hard also. I found putting one thumb on top of the other and using that to squeeze works perfectly. Perrito has a video showing how to do it that's where I got the idea from
ED survivor 5 years. Tried pills, Gainswave, PRP, Bi-Mix/Tri Mix (worked 50% but very painful for 24 hours after injection.) 55 Gay - Single Titan Coloplast implanted June 1st, 2022, scrotal in Miami by Dr Billy Cordone..,very happy. Zero regrets

did you do the foreplay at 50% swollen and then for the other 50% it took a minute? or did you do them at 40/60/70%?

Depends on what you mean by "easy." My Titan was hard to pump for 12 years (which is when it quit working). It was very hard to pump for the first several months, and gradually became somewhat less hard, but it never became what I would call easy. Full disclosure - I never used the implant and inflated it rarely. If I'd inflated it more maybe it would have loosened up more.
Dave, 80, Maryland - Implant (Titan) 2008 by Dr. Andrew Kramer (failed Sept 2020) - never used due to a stroke that, among other things, ended my sex life.

Maybe 3-4 months. At 2 1/2 years it's still pretty tough, but not terrible. Remember you want that bulb to last a while, it has to be tough.

My pump is a lot softer now. I’m at 3months and started cycling just short of 4 weeks. It’s not a barrier to our sex life. We incorporate it into foreplay. My wife does it sometimes and she can get the firmness just right for her. I’d say she likes it best at 80%. Says it feels more like a natural penis at that level. If she’s happy, I’m happy!
58, implanted with 22 cm Titan (no RTE's) on April 1, 2022. Complete ED started after High Dose Rate Brachytherapy for prostate cancer. Tried everything else first but nothing worked. Wonderfully supportive wife!

I inflate 100% immediately. I guess I had too many years of not getting good hard ons. I want my wife to know I'm good to go right from the start.
