infrapubic v scrotal surgery for implant

Postby aussiePeyronies » Mon Jul 18, 2022 5:35 am

What are the ups n downs of each?

I've been told by Dr Eid that Scrotal approach helps conserve size ?

I would urge you to speak with 2 Urologists each doing the different approach. Also ask to speak with and see patient referrals.

I researched both approaches and formed my own opinion.

I was sold on the infrapubic aproach and was really nice as I had no swelling in my scrotum, and really had almost no irritation at all in scrotum…. My only issue I’ve had with infrapubic is the tubes go across the top of my shaft although deep in and not seen, it does seem to shorten your appearance as it the tubes lay right where you would normally measure. Just a little over. 8 weeeks out so still just a touch of swelling there so no total judgement yet. All has been incredible easy recovery and almost no swelling or pain so there’s that.

Penoscrotal has the penis pointed up during measurement like natural. Infrapubic points you more downward allowing for less stretch. But Eid should know that and compensate accordingly.

As for tubes if you are cut mid scrotum then the tubes should be invisible. Infrapubic the tubes are right there.

I'm probably biased and possibly wrong, but I believe the pubic approach is easier for the surgeon, and the scrotal approach is less invasive for the patient.

In my case, I had no swelling of the scrotum and no bruising anywhere.
I also healed quickly with minimum pain.

My first surgery was both infrapubic and Penoscrotal. Both done in the extreme. A few days before my surgery my doctor got the results back for my Peyronie's scarring and plaque. And he totally freaked out. But after he got in to the operation he found no problems at all said it was the easiest surgery he had ever done. By then he had already cut me Seven Ways to Sunday oh well

I had scrotal with Dr Eid, no real swelling, only a black and blue spot about the size of a quarter on my nuts. Minimum pain and was cycling on day three in the tub and sex at third week. Also I did a gentle masturbation at day five or six to completion. And my dick size remained the same.
