Penile Implant differances

Postby tankerman » Fri May 10, 2013 8:59 pm

Hi guys I wonder if anyone can tell me the differance between the Coloplast and the AMS 700 MS series Implants since my Doctor wants to use the AMS 700 MS series. Thank guys I have finally got the ball rolling.
I am 48 years old have had ED since I was 16, I can get an erection but I can not maintain it, tried pills I dont like the side effects, tried Trimix it has been hit and miss, I think I should get an implant.

According to the literature, the Coloplast increases in diameter and the AMS LGX increases in both length and diameter ( about 15% ), and the Coloplast is generally placed in the 'larger endowed' patient.

I could give you many paragraphs of my own uneducated non-medical opinion on this. But, what it all boils down to, in my mind, is this:

I have personal experience with the LGX and did most of my research on it. Quick run down on the bigger differences. Titan sizes increase in diameter as the sized length increases. They tend to be larger in initial daimeter the either the CX or LGX implants from AMS. Except for special cases the AMS cylinders have a diameter of 12mm and can expand to a maximum diameter of 18mm. The LGX series also has a length expansion factor of 18% on the cylinders. Of course there is no expansion on tip extenders when they are used.

That is all the factual information that I have. From my personal experience over 6 months of having an LGX model, my length has increased from its original erect size by about 1 inch with a size change in length of about 3/4 of an inch from flacid to erect. After a good bit of stretching the LGX doesn't shrink back as far as it did originally. As you will have read everywhere, they gt easier to pump with use. I also find that there is a change in the pressure needed to pump profile. At first it was relatively hard to pump after the first couple of pumps, now pumping is easy almost to the maximum I can stand. I am still stretching my implant and penis, so it can get just a mite uncomfortable at absolute maximum pump.
