Age efffectiveness of bimix

Postby sabaone » Mon May 13, 2013 1:46 am

I have some bimix that I bought over six months ago. It had been kept frozen until about a month ago. Does anyone have any idea as to how long it may be kept refrigerated until it loses its effectiveness? I know I could try and test it by shooting up, but I am reluctant to jab when it is unnecessary or effective.

Thanks

I've used Trimix that was 9-10 months old successfully. However, instructions on my Joy Juice say "Do Not Freeze". So I don't.

I have used trimix that was "outdated" by 3 months, and it worked fine... Both my urologist and my compounding pharmacist have said, "go ahead and use it until it does not work any longer. It can't hurt you just because it is old."

My Label has bright red sticker that says, "DO NOT FREEZE"

I keep mine in the meat tray of the refrigerator.

I left my first vial of Trimix unrefridgerated for at least four months and it was still working albeit not quite as effective. My new compounding pharmacy, Avella, ships it frozen and instructions say keep it frozen until ready to use.
