Can you limit their access to to a specific forum only - Relationships or partners perspective, etc.?

Paul, I must say part of the comfort that I find here is knowing that all the guys here have the same issue. I must say I think I would be vrey uncomfortable if the wives were on there with us.

To All Members,

Well, well, well, I now stand corrected on this subject. I would not endorse any change that would block free speech by members.

Based on our Founder and other members observations this particular change would muffle some more and that is not welcome. We have some members who monitor right now as it is. We do not want to drive any away.

I would encourage any monitor to wade into this water and get their feet wet and speak to this important subject.

As an individual I have now changed my mind, thanks to the rest of you.

I also want you all to know I have learned many other things from you and appreciate getting to know you here.

Frank Talk is working as it was intended.

I agree that if other members feel uncomfortable with women on the site then it would be best to maintain it as men only.

I agree that FT should stay a guys-only site. After all, if we have an insight from a spouse, we can post it as a member.

Getting back to the original question, my wife and I have been pretty open about stuff ever since we were engaged. She sympathetic when I can't get it up or can't keep it up for lovemaking, so she's also been supportive of all the things I'm doing to improve EQ (erection quality). She knows about my pumping therapy (I don't use it for intercourse), jelqing, foreskin restoration, PS-2 (a.k.a. aneros), and even my wanking. She's aware of my involvement at different sites for PE (penis exercises), FR (foreskin restoration), and now my involvemnet at FT.org.

We talk about our love making, but she doesn't ask about the details of my EQ routines, nor what I chat about with other guys. I think she knows instinctively that only guys really understand guys on a certain level. Just like she has "girl talk" with her friends that I cannot grasp. She doesn't watch me jelq or wank; I don't watch her change tampons. It's more out of respect and privacy than anything else. At the same time, if I hit a snag during love making, she'll ask something like "Where's your (c0ck) ring?" or "Are you doing your 'exercises'?"

Someone already said it--that talking with one's spouse is essential. But each couple will find their own "comfort zone" in how/when/what they discuss.

IMHO, I think FT should remain a "men only" forum. Although I'm sure by now lots of gals have looked in.

I like to think this is a guy-to-guy support site. What's wrong with that considering the subject matter? It can be difficult enough to discuss anywhere and I think as soon as more guys get together and discuss this amongst ourselves, the better off we'll be. And maybe, if we're better, our female partners will be, too.

Consider inviting significant others (our women) to have their own chatroom here, not in ours. If anyone is deemed out of line with destructive issues or intolerant attitudes that are inappropriate, shut them out. That is how they handle inappropriate behavior on some diabetes web sites. We could have a chat room for couples. It seems most of us here are lucky enough to have important partners in our lives and it might be a productive exchange. We do have a reputation for not communicating verbally extremely well. Maybe we can do better on line. In fact my wife found this web site for me.

This is a good exchange.
My two cents....For now, we need to focus on the mission of the site and the ED Foundation which is "to educate men about erectile dysfunction and help them find treatment or cure through education, support, advocacy, and research."
I can see some sort of ancillary web site for women, but honestly, I think it needs to be started by women. It drove me nuts, when exploring this project, the number of women who insisted they knew exactly what was needed for an ED site for men. Of course, they were completely wrong. I don't want to express the same arrogance by assuming we could build/moderate/maintain anything for women. I think this would be a great project for a woman to take on. We could then link to that site for women.

We think it is fantastic that women come here to lurk. but facilitating communication between a couple about ED is pushing the scope of this site. I tell guys to show their partners posts on here, read them together and see what conversations happen.

Keep the thoughts coming. It may trigger some interesting developments.
