Still thinking about getting an Implant.

At 6 months after surgery I find that I don't think about having an implant except when I need to do something with it. There is the feel of the cylinders in the penis when I hold it to urinate. Doesn't bother me, it is reassuring, the guarantee that when I need it it will rise to the occasional. The other times I notice the implant are when I use it, and when I do my stretching exercises.

It is a big step, but one that I would definitely do over.

I went in yesterday for my 10 week check up. All is great and I have been trying to wear it out since week five. My wife and I are making love 4 - 5 times a week and have been since week five. Doc says he doesn't need to see me again for a year. This was the best thing I ever did since having my Prostate removed three years ago. I would do it again in an instant.

Greg and Dave both shining endorsements that make it pretty clear the implant can dramatically improve your sex life (life)..Tank I am 2 weeks post op and I can say im in no pain except for the occational twing (plus the fact that im walking around with a semi contribues to my discomfort. But that is only temporary so it doesn't bother me at all. At day 6 I tested out the orgasm /cum ability and it went perfectly so I know all the feelings are the same as before. .that dispells the concern some have for loss of feeling. In a few weeks I will test drive it on the track and I am excited about it and can't wait! The implant should feel natural. 95% of men report it has changed their lives and rebonded them with their wife. I am looking forward to that.
I can't tell their is anything in my scrotum unless I feel for it. Then I feel the small pump and lines. The penis is okay, I lost a little in length, but it is wider. My wife says wider is better.
Anyway I am waiting for clearance on 6-5-13 for a meeting with my surgeon. She will pump it up for the first time and check it and and deflate it and teach me how to use it.
It all goes well, then I will be cleared for sex again. It has been a long 4 years without sex with my wife. We really missed each other being together.
Anyway, my opinion is this is more natural so far than I thought it would be. What I have read all over the net is that it takes about a year to really get used to the implant, then you really don't notice it and you are glad you have it.
Remember, this is major surgery, and not minor. Do exactly as the surgeon says. Stay off of your feet vertical for at least 2 weeks. At home stay in bed more than your recliner. Put a pillow under your hips to raise your pelvis, that will help the edema drain from the scrotum. Use a rolled towel underneath the scrotum to raise it and support it. Use ice several times a day under your scrotum and above on your penis and the top of the scrotum. Use the vicodin the first couple of days, then switch to Motrin. While on Vicodin take stool softener to deal with constipation.

Not all people will have the trouble I did with edema. It took me 3 weeks to lose the edema.

You are probably right that it takes about a year to get to the point where you don't notice you have it. But for me it took only a week or two after I was cleared to use it for sex that I could compare the pain of the surgery/recovery process to my new bionic capability and know that the result was well worth the process, even though I was not totally pain free at that point.
