Hello everyone
I've pretty much decided on getting an implant with Dr. Eid. As you surely can understand, this is a very difficult decision and i would like to get some input.
I'll be 30 years old in December. I suffer from ED since over one year (following sex accident, dick got bent down - MRI showed no structural damage). Pills help my erections a bit, but it's not sufficent for sex. I had a Doppler and a cavernosonography that confirmed venous leak. The injections (caverject) for the tests only got me engorged, not hard.
This last year has been the worst of my life. I need to do something about this asap.
So pills are not sufficient, injections don't work. Is there any reason to wait at this point? Am i missing something?
Any advice or opinion is appreciated.
Thanks a lot!
Cheers

Re: Is there any reason to wait?
Good question.
I think you'll find the consensus to be that, the earlier you get it, the better.
Most members regret not getting it earlier.
The only reason I can see to wait, would be to do some VED/traction to regain some length/girth so that a bigger implant can be put in.

Re: Is there any reason to wait?
Have you tried other injectables? Trimix is stronger than caverjet. Look at all the options, implant is final.
If you decide to go for the implant prepare for a couple weeks of soreness. Being so young there may be a couple revisions needed later in life. The only good part of that is future implants should be better.

Welcome to the site. As was already advised anyone who has lost or has greatly diminished nocturnal erections should be using Ved therapy. There is a very good article in the documents worth reading thread in the general section of this site called penis exercise. You have to scroll down a bit to it though. The thing I like to tell men is that when nothing works well enough. When you are not able to be with a partner and not worry if you can get and keep an erection for sex and you have tried everything your doctor has. As far as waiting you will have a bit of a a wait in getting scheduled and getting everything ready for the surgery. If you are not using VED therapy I would start right away as the first 2 weeks are the most productive. 6 weeks is recommended and I had 3 weeks before my surgery.
Good luck with this.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

Indeed,
I agree, I wish I had not waited so long to do it. Eid did my implant; recovery was easy and no length issues. You are in great hands!

Re: Is there any reason to wait?
I totally agree with Silver Daddy -- if Dr Eid is recommending an implant at this time, do it!
Regarding my own experience with "the master", I had instant recovery, cycling in 3 days, sex in 3 weeks -- absolutely no problemo!
Feel free to PM me if any questions.

Yes, looking at getting one in a few months, just waiting on my insurance and hoping to regain some length/girth in the meantime.

Re: Is there any reason to wait?
Interesting story...
A reason given to me by a Urologist surgeon I saw, was that the implant would not last my lifetime. I then asked about revisions. The Urologist then quickly commented that he rarely ever sees patients after successful implant procedure, and so is unsure of that outcome.
This puzzled me for awhile, and it wasn't I read this forum that I picked up that what I think occurs is that revisions are a speciality among Urologists, as it is a more difficult procedure, so only a subset do it, so most Urologists err on consulting patients to delay implants.
