Thanks, JDavid, for your response. My surgery is scheduled for July 9 so I will be about 2 1/2 weeks post surgery when you have yours. Lets keep in touch about the surgery procedure. My urologist was a classmate and trained with Dr. Karpman so it could be interesting to compare procedures and styles.
Keep me in your thoughts when I have surgery in July and I'll do the same for you.

Good luck with your implant. I had my done on June 10 2013 ams700 lgx. After thinking about it for over a year I made my decision may 1 to have it done. After trying meds shots I lost 50lbs testosterone levels were at 722 still could not get an erection. My doctor couldn't believe my levels for a 54 year old I did get testosterone shots for a little while. 6 days post op I am feeling pretty good swelling gone down and some pain.

Re: AMS 700LGX -- excited about surgery
610thebeast,
My BIGGEST worry is the loss of size that other guys talk about. I''m not that large as it is (flaccid= 4 1/2"girth X 4 1/4" length ...when erect = 5 1/2" girth X 5 3/4" length) and I read about a lot of guys talk about losing an inch or more flaccid and maybe as much when erect after inflating the cylinders. My uro says two things: You are what you are (not very comforting to me) but he also says that he will really try to keep me the same length and girth as before surgery. Then with the LGX, I may be able to make things a bit better through expansion of the cylinders.
How did you feel when the doctor first unwrapped your penis after surgery? Was your first mental response something like WOW, that's neat or OH MY, what has happened to me? Although it sounds funny, I really am serious.
Would you be willing to share your thoughts about your size difference right after the surgery and at this point in time?
ThankX

Re: AMS 700LGX -- excited about surgery
I did not worry about right after surgery. It looked like a half pumped penis, maybe a little smaller. I guess for me the deal is I did not have a choice. I am 5 3/4" fully pumped BUT the girth is disappointing to me. I am 4 1/2"girth fully pumped and used to be 5 1/2 to 6" girth. I am almost 10 months post op. I was a little over 6" on my flaccid pull pre op and with viagra I get to 6" or a little over and get back some girth. I am just not having natural erections in my glads or urethre area. Your 5 3/4" length is average size as I understand it. You should get there again with a good dr, again its the girth that is not great. I will keep pumping in hopes for more expansion.

I was wondering Scott if you did your daily pump therapy and if you noticed any increase in size from when you first started pumping. I had my implant done on may 7th and have been pumping since day 16 post op (for about 3 weeks so far) and my girth is still the same (5 1/2"- 5 3/4")...I pump from 30 mins to 45 mins daily (basically until I can't take the pain any longer) ususally while in a hot bath. I pump to max one handed then the last 5 mins I use 2 hands to get even more pumped and thats when the serious pain starts!! (maybe I should leave it where pain is manageable and hold it for longer?)
Also, do you still pump daily and for how long?
Thanks!

I have an ambicor 2 piece about 2 years after prostate surgery . Very simple to use. Pump in scrotum..squeeze hard (painless) and it's erect, bend penis back and it deflates.

Re: AMS 700LGX -- excited about surgery
I pump every day from 30 min to an hour, mostly an hour. I was always afraid to use two handed pump pressure for fear of damaging unit. I have tried it and it gets it to where it hurts alot more so I think I may try the double hand pump for more pressure. I suppose the extra pain is breaking up scar tissue and expanding.

Re: AMS 700LGX -- excited about surgery
I now know the time of my surgery...July 9 at 1:30 p.m. The biggest problem is that I can have nothing to eat or drink after midnight. I think I am going to go absolutely nuts waiting for this day to come.

Re: AMS 700LGX -- excited about surgery
I'm getting an LGX on June 25th. My doctor's plan is to have me pumping "as much as I can stand" at one week.
I am sixty-six years of age and dealing with gradually worsening ED for twenty years. At sixty-three I wanted something that worked reliably. I got an AMS 700 LGX implant in 6/25/13. I am entirely pleased with the outcome. My surgeon was Dr. Karpman.
