I'm new here. So a brief intro/history. I am a 29 year old man who first struggled with ED at 16. I had artery blockage that was corrected at age 19 with vascular bypass surgery. Since then things were great for 10 years or so. I had a girlfriend for the first 5 years and since that I ended I have been very sexually active (with help from 5 mg cialis and 10mg levitra although did not need them all the time), although not in a monogamous relationship until around 8 months ago. 3 months into that relationship (this was in January) I started having issues again. So my uro had me try 5 mg daily cialis for 2 months although it worked it seemed to make my erections weaker (less sensation and not nearly as rigid when I was doing fine). My uro now started me on Bimix 15/0.5 mix at 5 units on an insuline needle (so .05 ml?). Side not my my uro thinks my current ED struggles could partly be due to anxiety and being in a serious relationship. I do agree to a point. I'm taking a break from pills in hope that they'll be more potent after some time off. Since I've used them consistently for so long.
So my first time shooting up I had an erection that allowed me to have sex. It was painless and easy. I'd rate the erection an 8 out of 10. Once sex was completed the erection went down and then I had sex about a 30 minutes later again although with a weak erection and no climax. So a couple of questions....
I'm thinking about increasing the dosage. This was nice, but on a Saturday night when I'd like to get a few rounds in I'd like it to last a little longer. My Uro says to increase by 1 unit (.01 ml) until I like where I'm at. Does this seem low to anyone else?
Also has anyone used injections for a long time? Meaning 10 to 20 years? What has your experience been like? My Uro has some people who have used them up to 15 to 20 years. I think I may ask him to speak to one of his patients but I figured I'd ask here first.
Being 29 I am scared of long term use. I figure if I get to 50 and the injections still work, by then maybe they'll have something else or maybe I'll get an implant. Or maybe things just start working normal again and this is a phase.
Appreciate your help. Sorry for the longer post.

Re: First Time Bimix User
I use Trimix and my Uro started me at 30 units and suggested I increase by 5 unit intervals (17% increase) until I found the effective dosage. However, I was at the point where even 150 mg Viagra was not working well.
I would recommend at least 2 unit interval increases.
I am only two years on injections. I was able to reduce my effective dose down to 12 units but for the past 6 months I have had to increase my dose slowly up to 30 units in order to be effective.

Re: First Time Bimix User
So I've used the bimix 15/.05 mix three times now. The second time I did it I did 6 units on the left side of my penis and it worked great. I had an erection for just over and hour and easily could have had sex again over the next couple of hours. Last night though I did the same 6 units on the right side and had a completely different reaction as I was barely able to get an erection that lasted over 15 minutes.
Anyone else get different reactions on different sides?
My injection site last night seemed tougher to penetrate the penis at. Also, it looked like it was over a small vein by accident. The first two injections were smooth going in. Anyone else with similar experiences?
Also, DT my Uro wants me to do 11 units max and if that doesn't work to my liking to call him. He's worried about priapism. I had one in the office when he tested trimix with me.

Yes, initially injections on the right side worked better than on the left side.
But that all seems to have worked out as I got more practice injecting.
This post REALLY helped me figure out how to get great injections (I do not do step three):

As one of the 100-100 Club ( 100% erections 100% of the time) - but with Trimix not Bimix here are things that I do and observations.
1: I don't JAB the needle in in one swift stroke. I nudge it in. Maybe no difference but hey, you can't argue with 100-100.
2: At point of deepest insertion, when pressing on the plunger it should not take any more pressure than if you were injecting 'into the air'. Maybe try injecting some water 'into the air' to get a feel for how much pressing it takes. If it is hard to press, it means you are not in the CorpusC and if not there, No Joy for Willie.
3: I don't hold stretched penis straight out, I do out and fold over sideways on pubic bone. (But I have no fat pad down there so I dunno if it would work well if you did have one --or if you gotta turtle that doesn't want to come out for that needle. Foldover gives you a better view and a better Work Surface since it is braced against your body.
4: Sometimes just standing around waiting for it to get hard may not be the best. I notice that when you get horizontal in bed and on your side it really hardens up. Even better is if your wife gives it some help in that position (or any position really) -- even just squeezing at the base -- no need to massage.
Almost always we spend 5 or 10 minutes or even way longer with her doing squeeze and whatever. Also I use Coconut oil as a lub during this activity -- smells great, works great-- tastes great and you can even fry some chicken on the nightstand with it -- so versatile!
5: AFter injecting I never massage it in .. I just clench-squeeze at the base with thumb and finger (like a cockring) as if trying to hold in the Mix and maybe do some waggling. Massage is probably ok i just leave that for The Missus.
6: Maybe just a preference but I almost always inject early in the morning (but not too early- do not want to wake the sleeping dragonlady too early!!). Yeah you might be toting a hard one to work, but probably not. Doing in morning depends on if you and missus can be morning people or not.
That's all I can think of ... and yes it is a good idea to try-before-you-fly with your wife to get the dose right. As with any erection, there's lots you can do with it -- not just straight intercourse so maybe mix it up? BJ .. HJ .. just hold-and-squeezing -- lots -- and you can always make more.

I will say I started on bi-mix and it was not that great for me. Eventually convinced doc to switch me to tri-mix, much lower dosage and fantastic erections.
