Other forums?

Postby Craigohbig » Fri Dec 30, 2022 10:27 am

Are there any other(better) places to discuss our implants? This forum stinks. Just a bunch of geezers congratulating each other, kissing the doctor’s asses and dismissing anyone else and their concerns. I’ve seen a few guys on here who try to be helpful…discussing regaining size and talking about failure and how to deal with it. The VAST majority come back at you with “who cares as long as you get hard” replies to any questions you might have.

I’ll probably check in and see what a couple of people are up to, but I’m done with this shitter site.

Apparently his implant wasn't big enough to satisfy his boyfriend.

I think that we've had a talk about other forums before. As I recall, nobody offered up any alternatives. I'm just guessing based upon the number of non Americans that have found this forum that there isn't many other forums out there. Perhaps this is the only one. As I recall I searched the internet for something like "forum erectile dysfunction" & FT was one of the top results.
I did find 2 groups on Reddit. One on implants & the other was on erectile dysfunction. Neither of them offer very much info. Replies to questions are few & take forever to get posted.
I vaguely think that I remember a mention of a Facebook group. Ya, thats what I want. Post my health stuff on Facebook.
As with any group of people, you kind of have to follow the members that post good info & ignore the ones that don't. Sorting through the data to get the good stuff is either art or luck.
Btw, you leaving FT is pretty typical of members getting their implant, working the bugs out & moving on with their life. Perhaps showing up in a few years if a revision is needed. If a member was to look back 5-8 years in the post history. You wouldn't recognize very many members names.

Craig,

I have been really impressed with the men on this site who very unselfishly share their experiences with others. I think most feel like I do after spending a couple years on the site while marching through the common oral medicines, injections then implant. I am so thankful for these contributors, and I try my best to give back to FT.

What exactly is your question and concerns. Please state them again and I am sure the brothers will try their best to answer your question.

You criticize men saying, "Who cares as long as you get hard." What they are trying to say is don't worry about the small stuff, you get an implant so you can fuck, that is objective number one. I would love to have my 21 year old dick back, but it has been 57 years since I had that dick. Yes, us old geezers are still fucking. I am implanted and I would not want go back to the other unreliable and dangerous ED methods.

Also, you have to keep in mind the members here are posting what they learned from their own experience, if you are having medical issues, no one here is really qualified to give you advice. Every person and every surgery is different.

Craig, I went back and read a few of your posts, I must say you really do need to change out of your pissed off attitude or no one will be able to or want to help you. Best of luck, I hope you find the forum of your dreams.

Good question. l I have had many of the same thoughts (I only recently checked back in).
Would like to find a site with a younger demographic... and without the "bionic" talk nonsense.

I am sad that your experience here has been less than satisfying. I am saddened more that your expression of that dissatisfaction has been so vitriolic. I would expect more of members of a group with the concept of "support" at its core. Of course, you are not blameless in that regard, either. Your reply to Livingstonguy a case in point and generating a back-and-forth.

When I first began my search for information on impotence, ED, etc I was inundated with advertisements and come-ons which disappointed me even more than you are disappointed with this site. Fortuitously I stumbled across this site. Since then, I have found no other support group as well-attended by helpful people (an a few non-helpful or over zealous members, too) as this one. There was one, but it died from non-attendance.

I encourage you to simply follow GT1956's advice and ignore unhelpful posts (and don't bother responding to them, particularly with insults). If you want to get a higher concentration of younger fellows, there is a subforum intended for younger members.

AmansinCali's post makes reference to your "pissed off attitude". I sympathize with your frustration. A man with ED has a lot to deal with and each person has different means of coping. We all should take a breath and give each other at least one "pass" for displaying attitude occasionally. I note that yours is not the worst expression of disgust I have read on FrankTalk.

I welcome your continuation of posting questions on FrankTalk. I have every confidence that among the useless responses, you will find useful ones.

Sincerely.
