Hi all. New here.
My urologist won’t prescribe trimix in concentrations greater than 30/1/20 and recommends I not exceed 60 units per injection dosage. I’m maxing out his recommended dosage (exceeding it a bit in fact) with only moderate results. I’ve seen some of you post about having more potent trimix mixtures. Are there different standards in different countries? Is my doc perhaps just more conservative in what he is willing to prescribe? Should I try a different doctor? Or should I simply give up and go bionic? Horribly frustrating but if trimix won’t work, I’m looking at implant surgery which I would like to avoid. If I can tolerate a stronger formula, I’d like to at least try it. Thoughts?
Trimix concentrations
Re: Trimix concentrations
You my want to investigate moving to quad mix. I used it 14 years befor my implant in January 2022 at age 69. Just a thought, if you aren’t aware of it.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Re: Trimix concentrations
That's not a strong mix. Basically just an average mix. I'm in the U.S. but I have no idea what the rules are elsewhere. In the U.S. you should be able to get stronger mixes without much difficulty. You may have to find another doctor. Some guys use a telemed doctor through the pharmacy. I think Olympia has such a program.

Re: Trimix concentrations
Thanks for your replies. My pharmacist said other doctors in our area prescribe stronger trimix formulas. I’m going to change doctors.
Re: Trimix concentrations
You can change doctors, but as bldoink said you can simply get a phone consult with a doc for a stronger mix. A good example I used is Olympia Pharmacy in FL. They have strengths way up into the hundreds of PGE in Quadmix. Ask for Kevin and he will set you up with one of their docs for a $50 consult for a stronger mix. Good people in my opinion.

This is quite telling.
Sounds like your pharmacist is more knowledgeable than your doctor.
If you haven't I would suggest finding a urologist that specializes in sexual health.
When I started seeking injection treatment I first contacted my GP/Family doctor.
Told him that viagra, wasn't working well. I then asked my GP/Family doctor about injections. He literally knew nothing about them.
When I was on the phone with my GP he had to look up injections. All he found was Caverjet which cost $45 per injection.
I then had to research to find a local urologist, I gave my GP the contact information since I needed a referral to see the urologist.
When I finally got the in-office visit with the urologist. He knew exactly what I wanted and needed.
When I asked the urologist about various formulations he said what I had was a starter mix.
Thankfully it works quite well.
When I asked the pharmacy about other mixes (or formulations) they said they had 4 or 5 different Trimixes and confirmed that what I had was starter mix.
The pharmacy can only give you what is prescribed by the doctor, nothing more nothing less.
If your (current) doctor doesn't know about the stronger mixes, that is all he will prescribe.
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.
Feb 2023 developed PD
2023 still in treatment for PD, and still using Trimix with very good results

Mike from Olympia is also a great guy to deal with and he cannarrange the tele doc appt. My renewals had run out recently and for $54 it was the easiest way to go...as long as there's been no changes in your medical condition. They do ask a lot of questions about your current state of health, meds etc. But once you're approved the script is good for a year with unlimited refills.

Re: Trimix concentrations
qcswral -- great to hear that they are still good to deal with. When I had my consult, I started out by telling the doc that I had been successfully injecting Trimix for quite awhile with no problems -- she asked if I was having any problems or questions and I said No that by now "I knew what went where and why..." and she laughed and that was it. And that was for 150 PGE Quadmix as I recall.
