Probably a revision after 10 months

10 months after recieving an AMS700 Implant at Vanderbilt for peyroines (hard bend) causing ED, I STILL have bend. I will post a pic later. I called the dr and they are prioritizing me with there schedule. I have at least a 60 degree bend still after pumping an hr a day for 10 months. I am concerned I could loose size of this. I am already disappointed with girth at 4 1/2" and am ok with being 1/2" smaller at 5 1/2" length. I guess I need a CX model or Titan. I think a titan may be better cause I used to have GREAT girth even just before operation when I took viagra. Anyway, I must be a rare exception to outcomes.

Hang in there Scott. You have one of the best uros in the country for this type of stuff. They can only predict what will happen based on their previous experience. I am sure that they can get you where you need to be with the stiffer product. Sucks that you have to go through all of the recovery again but it is not like you did not go to one of the best in the country, so you cant blame your decision to use him or his decision to use the LGX. I am at week 3 in my recovery with a Titian and still unsure about my outcome because I have not inflated it yet even though I got the go ahead from the Doc. Still to tender. I still have a curve but Dr. Kramer is sure that it will straighten out after I start pumping.

Thanks. I did research and found him to be good dr but I think they should have put CX or Titan. I actually think imho that they did not do "modeling" enough and remove scar tissue from bend. It was an either or decision I believe. Either fix modify the scar tissue to allow unit to straighten or put a unit that is known to be more stout with this issue. The question is who pays for this?

Hi Scott,
Sorry to hear of your Implant problems.
To my knowledge, most Implant Surgeons prefer the Titan for men suffering with Peyronies Disease (Curvature of the Penis)
and for men with an erect length of 7 inches or more.
The reason is that the Titan has a sturdier material of construction (Bioflex).
I was implanted with the Titan in December 2007 and, thankfully, have had wonderful results to date.

Hoping for the best for you. If I were in your situation I would also get a second opinion from another doc who is also a "world expert". I'm not suggesting your doc is not great, or that he did anything wrong. But, before had my implant I visited 3 surgeons, and its interesting to hear different views and opinions and I think the experience was worthwhile for me. Getting a second opinion does not mean you'll change docs either. It might, in fact, reinforce a decision to stay with your current doc. Getting an implant to begin with is a big decision. Having it replaced after 10 months is an equally big decision. At least that's my view. Getting different viewpoints on how to fix your curvature might be helpful to you.
