Hitting blood vessels and haematoma

Postby frwmw1 » Sun Jan 22, 2023 6:31 pm

Occasionally, after an injection, the following day there is a purple circle at the injection site, indicating bleeding.

What do you guys do when this happens?

It's a concern because, this situation could trigger peyronies, right?

It happened on one side over 6 months ago, and I noticed afterwards that the needle found it more difficult to penetrative through this spot afterward, and there was intermittent pain in the area.

Frightened of developing peyronies, I moved to only injecting the other side, until this week it occurred again.
45yo, venous leak. Pills increased tinnitus (very rare). Using bimix+atropine, 0.2 of:
Atropine Sulfate: 52MCG/ML, Phentolamine MES: 0.9MG/ML, Papaverine HCL: 26MG/ML

I think you're stressing about it too much. I don't think a minor hematoma from drilling a small vessel in your skin is going to cause fibrosis or peyronies. I've had those hematomas occasionally but apparently not as often as you do. Make sure you compress the injection site for a few minutes after injecting. Are you avoiding visible vessels? Are you injecting manually or using an auto injector?

Purple circle?

Hell I’ve had half my cock BLACK. I’m a white guy too.

Usually it was after really vigorous sex.

I didn’t hit any obvious blood vessels. Its just part of the injection deal.

Partially injecting into the lining of the corpus is more likely to cause scarring. The bruises go away.

Manual injections, I find compressing the site difficult, just how many minutes are required?

I'm wondering if there's ways to minimise this.

I think they (Doctors) say to compress for 5 minutes. I never compress that long. I think it's more a case of taking care to avoid drilling vessels. On the other hand, if you have really thin blood or have difficulty clotting for some other reason, your situation may be unique. It that case it would be best to consult your doctor, which you should probably do anyhow.

Agree with bldoink and Keith. I've had hematomas too, but they fade in 5-7 days. Harmless, only look terrible. I don't think they have anything to do with Peyronie's.

But I was told to squeeze the injection site 8-10 times immediately afterward, rather than compressing. This pumps some mix into the other corpora cavernosum, because they have a connection; then, my nurse said, "you will have a straight erection." This has worked fine for five years.

Yeah, I compress the site while massaging it in to help disperse it.

Thanks for the tips and information, particularly as you guys are quite more experienced than me, much appreciated!

My Urology clinic didn't discuss compression or massaging the site.

The haematoma is clearing up quite quickly and is almost gone.
