How long does Trimix last

I was just wondering, how long does trimix last in the fridg? I have had my vial of trimix since june 2012 and it still works well. I had my uro give me another script last visit so I would have when this runs out.

Well, firstly, that is just so sad that you've had the same vial since June 2012 and not yet used it up. Just sad.

Many of us just use it every other day or so ,, whether you have a good use for it or not. Nothing gets the blood flowing better for rehabbing.

I have read (here?) where Trimix loses 1-2 percent of potency evry month? (in fridge) and less or none while frozen.
So yes it would still be potent. And hopefully is not cloudy or any particles visible?

Maybe get that new script filled anyways and retire the old one just to be safer.

Yeah, I think mine does too, but a lot of people freeze loaded syringes, ready to rip in case "she" comes over. I'm sure some of the guys here will chime in, who actually do it (I never have).

My uro even mentioned that freezing would not hurt it and prolongs its life.

I have froze it for years it will last a long time that way. They put that on there "don't freeze" but noone seems to know why when you ask the Phamacy.
My doctor told me to freeze it!

Well the obvious reason for do not freeze would be that it might crack open the glass vial due to expansion of the ice.

I doubt it could happen on a less tha full vial -- they look mighty strong -- but i dunno.

And I would not freeze the vial anyways -- only the syringes loaded up since they unfreeze in a few minutes in your hand or pocket. The vial would take longer to thaw obviously -- at a no doubt critical time with an ever expectant wife waiting and tapping her foot.... don''t want that!
