Injection angle

Postby king1522 » Mon Jul 22, 2013 12:48 pm

I have read and seen videos of two injection methods. One is the injection is made on the side of the penis and needle is horizontal to the penis(ie 180 degrees). The other shows the needle being injected at an angle between 95 and 180 degrees which is not horizontal to the penis. Is there an advantage or disadvantage to the angle??

I was always told to inject at a 90 degree angle and either at 2 Oclock or 10oclock. However Ive seen diagrams where the penis is layed on the side of the thigh and the injection is at the side of the penis

Thanks for your comment shipper...I suppose there is more than one way just as long as you get it injected!

There are a few demonstration videos of the techinque on YouTube. All of them I've seen tell you to inject straight in at a 90 degree angle. I plan to talk with my urologist about injections soon.

As far as the area in which to inject, it's generally recommended that you do so between the 9 and 10 o'clock positions or the 2 and 3'o'clock positions.

I am somewhere north of 1000 injections by now 8 years in. What i have learned is that anywhere from 1/2 inch below the glans to 1/4 inch above the base at 90 degrees and 8-11 o'clock and 1-4 o'clock will work. They key issue is to get it in the Venus cavernosa. I have had a few aw shucks. not deep enough once (limited erection and a bubble that took 4-6 hours to dissipate. To deep once into urethra Ugh1. The most difficult thing is making sure that you don't hit a blood vessel. The ones on your foreskin are easy to learn about, but the ones underneath are hard to locate and it takes experience. I have had numerous hematomas over the years. I am much better at it now, but still blow it once in a while. They go away in about 3 days but look nasty lol. Always use a 31g needle 7/16 long nothing bigger.
