Trimix - 2 doses, 2 Priapisms

I started taking Trimix two weeks ago at the 30/1/10 dosage. I did not know what to expect since it was my first dose and the pharmacist suggested starting at 20 units. I got an erection fairly quickly but it didn’t seem 100% erect so I tried another 10 units and everything was great but my erection lasted six hours. I went to the ER and checked in and thankfully it subsided as they came to take me back.

Fast forward to this weekend and I took the 20 unit dose again and after having sex for maybe 10 minutes my erection still felt like it was bending during sex so I injected 10 units again. This time my erection lasted 15 hours and I had to have injections and aspiration at the ER. Now I am afraid to have sex and no longer want to continue Trimix. Maybe I just needed to give the 20 units longer to work but I am afraid to inject again and also worries that I have caused further damage to my penis.

I have a trip to Cabo with my girlfriend coming up in less than two weeks and obviously want to have sex and enjoy the trip but my anxieties over this medication and the fear of this happening in Mexico are really concerning. I can lower the dose to 10-15 units and try it beforehand but what about using it daily for 5-7 days? I know I know they only recommend 3x per week but my urologist only said no more than once every 24 hours.

So my question is for those of you who have injected multiple days in a row - if 10-15 units is an appropriate dose should I take that same dose every day or is there any reason to raise/lower it after 3-4 days of consecutive use?

If 20 units almost gets you there I wouldn't jump up to 10 more units on top of that. Trimix is very potent and even increasing 2 units can make a difference. Next time try like 24 units and see how that goes. Just keep some Sudafed on hand.

Man I hope you didn't have a full, rock hard erection for 15 hours. Not good! Not to sound too critical but I'm not sure you're responsible enough for injections. For sure get some of the original Sudafed and take it early. Make sure it's not the time release version and make sure it contains Pseudoephedrine as the active ingredient. You'll have to ask for it from behind the pharmacist's counter.

How long did you give the injection to work before you boosted it? Try a silicone novelty/sex shop cock ring around your dick behind the boys next time instead of more juice. You need to have some normal injection experiences before you go off to Cabo and try it there, unless you don't care if you lose your dick.

Thanks for the reply. The pharmacist told me if I did not get a response due to missing I could inject again on the other side which is what I did. The first time I just thought the dose was light and didn’t realize 10 additional units was that drastic. I took 8 Sudafed the second time over a couple of hours but it did not eliminate the erection. I’m honestly about ready to see if insurance will cover an implant. After having a 15 hour erection I may need it anyway. I’m gonna start out at 10-15 units alone and see what happens and go up from there. Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply… you can see my response above but i did not realize 10 additional units was that much and in the heat of the moment after having lackluster sex in the last due to ED you get pretty desperate for it to work. I’ll try alone later this week and try to get a proper dose f before my trip. Thank you!

I took my dose around 9pm and fell asleep and woke up early still with an erection. I have only used Trimix twice so I am new to injections so I thought it would eventually go down on it’s own. I called the on call urologist at 8am since it was a Saturday thinking he would prescribe me phenylephrine but he said they don’t prescribe that and it has to be monitored in a doctors office or ER. He told me I better get to the ER as soon as possible if I wanted to co ti he using my penis so I drove myself there. All said and done it was about 15 hours before it finally went down. Hopefully there is not major damage and it will still respond to Trimix the next time I use it.

This is going to sound blunt. Please hear it as direct instead.

If two doses gave you priapism you need to be getting this advice from your prescribing physician, not an online forum.

We all have experience with this stuff but we are not doctors.

Unless you are aiming for ER visit #3 and possibly permanent damage talk to your doctor.

I care about the men in this groups, even the ones I haven’t interacted with yet. I don’t want to see anyone get hurt when it was preventable.

Seriously, find another doctor that will prescribe it then. Its irresponsible of him not to provide you an antidote when he prescribes such a powerful drug to you.

You cant be going to the ER every time that happens.

I spoke to the on call urologist about the phenylephrine shots and he said he’s never heard of another urologist prescribing it for at home use.
