I’m peeing and the stream is going backwards spraying into the gauze that my penis is wrapped in.
I do have super glued water proof stitches, I am showering every time I pee, and changing the gauze.
The nurse says that pee is sterile and a little bit on the gauze will be okay. Can anyone confirm this? Or tell me if showering multiple times is not a good idea?
My scrotum is now burning as well, is this a cause for concern?

Look and see if they gave you discharge instructions in your paperwork from the medical facility when you were released after the surgery. May be a lot of information to read.
You should be laying as flat as possible for the first few days. Ice packs should be used also to help with the swelling. I was also instructed to take Motrin to help with the swelling. As the swelling goes down the ability to urinate more normally will return. As you have your incision high at the base of your glans I would try to find a waterproof tape to shield the gaze as much as you can. And as I said to blot the urine with toilet paper to dry. Urine is sterile in that it is waste filtered from the blood stream. The thing is that germs can grow very fast in urine. So the first bit of urine washing out your urethra can have some germs in it. I was on oral antibiotic medication after the surgery and if you are you should take that as directed. Your paperwork may also have information on what to look for as a sign of infection. Fever, discharge from the incision, etc... I would not shower every time I urinated. Just blot dry with tp and if the bandage is soaked with urine then change it.
Good luck and ask any questions you have.
