So I’m single 39 and I’m getting very very weak erections with massive amounts of cialis and viagra and that’s after a lot of stimulation (by myself). So idk an implant may be on my horizon. I don’t think injections are an option for me. One reason is simply the depression I am way too depressed to even try and date and sneak around with the injections. I know some people are courageous enough to date knowing they can’t get hard and sneaking around with a needle. Idk that’s just not me. Also not sure how long I’m supposed to “work on my mental health” as a few people close to me have recommended. The reason I am so depressed is because my dick is about 10% functional while taking more than the recommended amount of pde5i’s. I don’t care what ssri or snri (currently on viibryd) you throw at me I’m still gonna be super depressed that my dicks not working. I could exercise 5 times a week and train for a marathon and meditate 2 hours a day, the whole time all I will be thinking about is that my dick doesn’t work (already seeing a sex therapist and it’s really not helping). I reference one of dr Eids videos where he says once you get a penile implant you don’t think about ED anymore you are freed from the shackles and ED fatigues and exhausts (yeah no shit!). That is exactly what I need, I fear it’s the only way for me to get around this (already have depression and ocd and this has made things almost unmanageable). I know I’m getting way ahead of myself here as I don’t even have an implant, I guess just trying to prepare myself for every worst case scenario. Just curious if anyone’s had really negative dating experience with their implant. (And this is assuming the surgery goes well and it’s not totally obvious from the get go) Or if you met somebody and when it was time to tell them you had an implant you got rejected. Obviously a single person thinking of getting an implant it’s a bit of a concern. Or just the social aspect of it, a relationship that went sideways and now all your friends know you have a penile implant. Most of the single guys with implants have positive things to say about their dating experiences from what I’ve read which is awesome and gives me some amount of hope. Just kinda curious if anyone has had bad experiences that they’d share and how they mentally were able to deal with it. Open to any encouraging words as well just super depressed right now.

Well an implant would be better than your current 10% functioning dick, even if there are any (unlikely) problems. Exercise 5 times a week, train for a marathon and meditate like you said, and also get an implant' - your depression is very likely to improve significantly.

Gather courage and see a good implant surgeon. They are well trained and will be able to tell you whether you need an implant or you ca do without one. Best way to test this is to get a penile doppler test.

Why do you feel like you would have to sneak around to inject?

I found it better to be honest upfront with women. I've never been rejected over that. I told them I have this issue but I have a solution for it and I wanted to be upfront with you.
